boxplot notch
Thanks Ben,
Here the reproducible example.
It works without notch=TRUE, but provides an error with notch=TURE
Error in `geom_boxplot()`:
! Problem while converting geom to grob.
? Error occurred in the 1st layer.
Caused by error in `ans[ypos] <- rep(yes, length.out = len)[ypos]`:

I don't see anything obviously wrong here. There may be something
subtle, but we probably won't be able to help without a reproducible
example ...

boxplot notch
Dear community
I tried the following code using geom_boxplot() and notch=TRUE. Does anyone
know if the command ?notch=TRUE? is at the wrong place in my special code
construct?
Without notch=TRUE the code provides the planned ggplot.
Kind regards
Sibylle
Code:
MS1<- MS %>% filter(QI_A!="NA") %>% droplevels()
MS1$Jahr<-as.factor(MS1$Jahr)

That's not really a reprex Sibylle.? I did try to use it to see if I
could work out what you were trying to do and help but there is so much
in there that I suspect is distraction from the notch issue and its
error message.
Please can you give us something stripped of all unecessary things and
tell us what you want?

bootstrapping data.frame and matrix
Dear All,
When bootstrapping a statistics based on more than one vector, from a
data.frame or a matrix object, it looks like I am not able to pass the
data to R. What am I doing wrong?
I use the library "bootstrap".
Here is an example with a data.frame called "data"

Google Voice / Jabber auth problem
asterisk-1.8.13.0
iksemel-1.4
I have a client who setup a gvoice account using their domain in the
login name:
username=client at theirdomain@gmail.com
This appears to have caused a problem with authentication. I've tried
escaping the @ and quoting the login string, etc. but it simply won't
authenticate. I don't believe my configuration is bad as the same server

Reading XML files masquerading as XL files
R version 2.13.1
OS X (or Windows)
Colleagues,
I received a number of files with a .xls extension. These files open in XL and, by all appearances, are XL files. However, it appears to me that the files are actually XML:

How to read or write Geolocation (RFC6442) data in SIP/PJSIP messages ?
Hello,
I'm having a look at section 13.1 from SIP Connect v2 doc (see [1]).
It refers to RFC6442 which gives the following example (sorry for its

vfs_streams_xattr and create mask = 0640 don't play well together
Hi everyone,
We are working on the deployment of samba 4.2.3 on Solaris 11.1 with ZFS backed storage. We plan to use the new vfs_fruit in order to better support our OSX clients out there. Everything seems to be working fine so far, but one operation:
If the user on an OSX client sets (or modifies) a tag (the colour flags or a custom tag) on a directory *AND* the share is configured with

R Program
Can someone help me out with this problem?
Write an R program to draw 10,000 random samples using the Polya Urn Scheme
where the initial contents of the urn is one white ball and one black ball.
Accumulate the proportion of white balls after each draw into one vector.
Upload your R script file.
HINT: You can simulate sampling one ball from an urn with N balls of which w
are white and N - w are

openssh-3.1p1 on GNU/Hurd
Hi,
I've gone and ported the latest version of openssh, 3.1p1, to GNU/Hurd.
I've tried to learn from the other threads on this topic, but I still had
to get rid of MAXHOSTNAMELEN where I could.

Patch for Digital Unix SIA authentication
A while back, I sent in a patch that added Digital Unix SIA
authentication to OpenSSH. Well, I just figured out that it didn't
handle everything correctly (locked accounts could still log in). I
thought I had checked that, but I guess I missed it.
Anyway, here is a patch against OpenSSH 2.2.0p1 that fixes this.

SIP/2.0 489 Bad Event in reply to a PUBLISH
Hi, in these dark days of COVID-19 lockdown I'm using linphone to
connect to my office asterisk system for working from home.
It's going pretty well but the presence/BLF functions don't appear to work.
In the linphone logs and asterisk debug I find that asterisk is
rejecting linphone's PUBLISH message:

[PATCH] add dom0 vcpu hotplug control
This patch adds new control messages for vcpu hotplug events. Via the
xm vcpu_hotplug sub-program, VCPUS in domains can be enabled/disabled
when CONFIG_HOTPLUG_CPU is enabled in the target domain''s kernel.
Currently there is nothing that tracks whether a VCPU is up or down.
My previous [1]patch added a new per-VCPU flag (VCPUF_down) which could
be used to keep track of which VCPUS are

Write-only option
Hi!
I am doing backups from a number of machines to an rsync server. For some
time I was trying to come up with a solution, which would prevent users
from peeking at each other's files, which are backed up. Finally, I've
hacked rsync, introducing a new option "write only" for rsyncd.conf. When
set to true, this option forbids the transfers from server to the client,
thus solving

Retrieve hypergeometric results in large scale
I'm going to use
dhyper(x, m, n, k)
to get a 95% coverage. Let me use an example to explain my problem:
Suppose I have a urn containing 90 red and 10 black balls.
Now I wanna remove 3 from the urn. By the following codes:
m<-90;n<-10;k<-3;
x<-0:3
dhyper(x,m,n,k)
I can obtain the probability that 0,1,2,3 red balls will be removed.
