dovecot-2.2.21 ????? fts_autoindex - index-worker problem Hello List, I installed dovecot-2.2.21 on CentOS 6.7. I use ldap for userdb to separate an e-mail address and the user. Index to apache solr failed in fts_authindex when I received an email after setting. Password expiration
Hello, I still can't figure out why my users' passwords are expiring. Ever since we switched to LDAP, passwords expire every 14 days. Here is an example LDAP user entry: version: 1 # LDIF Export for: uid=sgoodrich,ou=Users,dc=trec,dc=us # Generated by phpLDAPadmin ( http://phpldapadmin.sourceforge.net/ ) on September 6, 2005 10:56 am # Server: TREC (localhost) # Search Scope: base #

LDAP stored quota
I noticed that you sent replies to me directly... Anyways, seems the problem was that the LDAP user_attrs is missing commas, and the mailRoutingAddress is used wrong, so the correct syntax would be: user_attrs = \ mailRoutingAddress=user, \ =uid=vmail, \ =gid=mail, \ =home=/var/mail/%d/%n, \ =quota_rule=*:bytes=%{ldap:departmentNumber} Aki > On 22 November 2018 at 15:29

'deadtime' in Samba 3.0.13
Hi, I currently have deadtime = 15 in my smb.conf. This featured worked good to disconnect clients that have been idle for > 15 minutes in the past. With the 3.0.13 version, it seems to do nothing. As in, it just keeps the user connected indefinitely. Here is what I see when no one is currently at the office and everyone is logged off their computer. Thanks [root@spicy p]#

smbldap and samba as a PDC
Hi people, I have a problem with samba, openldap and the creation of machine accounts. I don't know if here is a good place to ask but I don't receive help in other places.. I read many guides, howto's, etc. but I can't get around with the solution... I have seen an older message to another list (mail.gna.org) asking for the same problem that I have, it was: -

userdb, Dovecot LDA not using mail_location config properly?
I use Dovecot 1.0.5. I use LDAP for the user database and Dovecot LDA. --- dovecot.conf mail_location = maildir:/var/spool/mail/data/%Lu:INDEX=/var/spool/mail/index/%Lu auth default { mechanisms = plain (Note: TLS is used anyways..) userdb prefetch { } passdb ldap { # Path for LDAP configuration file, see doc/dovecot-ldap-example.conf

vacation script issue
After some additional research and testing, it seems that my vacation auto-reply is working when the sender doesn't have the same username (%n) as a local account on the recipient imap server. If test at xyz.com sends an email to test2 at example.com, the vacation auto-reply is triggered but delivered to the wrong mailbox. Suppose I have an account test at example.com on my imap server,

vacation script issue
Hello, I have a complete Postfix + Dovecot + openLDAP setup almost working, the only issue I have is the vacation script auto-reply that doesn't work properly. If I send an email to a user with the vacation filter enabled, the auto-reply is send to a local recipient with the same account name. So for example if I send a mail from test at xyz.com to test at example.com, the auto-reply is

adding user ldif to ldap
hi list.. I am trying to add an ldif with my users that I have derived from /etc/passwd. for some reason ldapadd is choking on the first entry... I've also tried removing the first one and predictably each one fails in exactly the same way...may I ask how best to correct this? Here is the error: LDAP# ldapadd -x -D "cn=Manager,dc=summitnjhome,dc=com" -W -f /tmp/passwd.ldif adding

Samba and OpenLDAP - success?
All, I've spent almost two months learning about setting up Samba and OpenLDAP for SSO. I was finally able to get it done (at least for Win XP Pro at this point) and I've compiled some notes on how I did it. The latest copy of my notes will be at the link below: http://bit.ly/smbldapsetup I've also discovered during my travels in Google-land that when you try a potentially useful
