smaba &ldap
Hello, I am running a samba 3.0.32 under fedora core 9. I only try to authenticate users against a ldap server. Of course this server knows the encrypted password as microsoft does. I entered the ldap password using smbpasswd to query into the ldap. After this, I just obtain a message like "you don't have rights to ...". What errors do I make ??? Any ideas will be appreciated

smaba 3.0 - domain groups : OS info
I dont think its a OS problem, Im using suse 8.1. If you log into the windows box as root you can see the groups and the users in the groups. Any other user including domain admins can not. This would indicate that there is a problem with samba, either with ACLs accessing group information or passing group/user information from the system to a smbd process owned by a user other than root.

These files are in the form,: nc_file.gz I tried different ways (within R) to unzip and read them, but they did not work. I'll appreciate any suggestion on how to do that. Thanks, Magdalena Lucini

Inconsistent results from var.get.nc in RNetCDF
Hello - I am having trouble extracting data from NetCDF data files using RNetCDF. The data files each have 3 dimensions (longitude, latitude, and a date) and 3 variables (latitude, longitude, and a climate variable). Here is some of the output from print.nc for clarity: ----- dimensions: month = UNLIMITED ; // (1368 currently) lat = 3105 ; lon = 7025 ; variables: float
