I am configuring for 2 days now new Smaba 4.1.12 with the same annoying
results. Any help is very much appreciated.

  Failed to finalize nt token

 

I can run perfectly well the commands: wbinfo -g

and

wbinfo -u

The security is ads

 

I really can't seem to get over the problem.

Help please.

You are going to have to give us a lot more info before we can try to 
help you.

post your smb.conf
Do your users in AD have uidNumber attributes ?
Does the Domain Users group have a gidNumber attribute ?
What OS are you using ?
Where did you get samba from ? distro packages, sernet packages or self 
compiled
How many Dcs ?
Do you have a member server ?
What are your clients ?
Any thing else you have done.

So, it is NSS (mapping to uidNumber) that is not working?

Yep,  it is easy to get to a "working" winbindd but failing NSS.

I am assuming you can kinit as administrator@ and {user}@
