Kernel 2.6.32-358 networking issues...
Hi,
after a long general power failure, I had to power off/on my
soon to be 6.4 firewall (updated to 6.4, but not rebooted yet).
After the off/on, everything seemed to be fine.
But I realized there were some specific/weird heavy slow downs.
In one case, the windows clients *uploads* would stall (very slow),
while the linux clients had no apparent upload issues... (MTU?).
In another case, the

Centos 6.3 and dovecot with an abrt problem
Everyone,
I have a mail server running CentOS release 6.3 (Final) with
2.6.32-279.22.1.el6.i686 kernel that is reporting errors to me
pertaining dovecot. I have appended the error message to this note.
There is only one user that appears to generate this message, and it is
generated to me by way of e-mail without a perceptible problem to the
user which is not me.
This particular user had an

Lockups with kernel-2.6.32-358.0.1.el6.i686
I updated my home server with the 6.4 CR packages, and I've experienced
3 or 4 hard lockups since. The server is a fanless VIA C7
"CentaurHauls" system with a 1GHz CPU underclocked to 800MHz and 1GB of
RAM. It has a dual-port Intel 82546GB NIC in its single PCI slot. (It
also has an on-board Realtek RTL-8110SC/8169SC NIC that is plugged in,
but doesn't currently have an IP

I get that rather a lot.
Can workaround with mkdir /tmp/evince-8622 , but would rather not need to.
Any idea what is going on and how I stop it?
I'm running xfce 4 on centos 6.2 .

Pam authentication failure message but it works
I am running Centos 6.4 64bit.
Dovecot 2.0.9
I am getting the following messages in /var/log/secure, which looks like
the pam authentication is not working but the users are allowed to login
and the system works great.
I am wondering if pam is actually failing and yet the system is getting
the login info from elsewhere, or is this just a nuisance message?

Sieve vacation reply problem (Dovecot+Sieve/Sendmail/Horde)
Hello Dovecot community,
I have an annoying problem with successfully activating Sieve vacation replies - on which I have been working hard the last days without success :(
I'm using Dovecot 2.2 + Sendmail + Sieve connected with Horde web-mailer IMP H3 which is generally working fine.
BUT: Whenever I activate vacation script in Horde (via Ingo) and send a test-mail to this account, the mail

Problem with managesieve proxy
Hi folks,
I'm setting up a new dovecot email service and have a proxy server running in
front of it to facilitate migrating users from my very old UW-IMAP-based mail
server to the new one.
I have a mysql proxy table that directs inbound IMAP and LMTP connections to
the correct server, works great. Managesieve connections are not working
through the proxy using either with the sieverules

Kernel panic after update to 6.4

libvirt crashes with Caught Segmentation violation
Hi,
I'm having problems with libvirt crashing after a couple hours when a

2. qemu-kvm version
3. OS version
4. Kernel version
5. libvirt status post-crash

everything so just the beginning and end. UTC)

Bug report: "doveadm rename" encodes special characters wrongly in mUTF-7 (in fs)
Hello there,
I'm pretty sure I found a bug in latest Dovecot 2.2.5.5 (EE) when playing with the doveadm command.
Naturally renaming a users mail folder should be done via "doveadm es consistent.
So when using "doveadm rename" trying to rename a folder with special characters e.g. german umlauts like "??" it seems to create the folder wrongly in the filesystem.

RHSA-2013:0223-1 - moderate kernel update
CentOS team: has the CentOS kernel update come out yet that addresses what
upstream sent out the email this morning RHSA-2013:0223-1, which mentions
a bugfix for a deadlock when oom-killer's invoked?

Centos 6.4 - yum update gives: Error: kernel conflicts with bfa-firmware
On trying a yum update I get the following error:
Error: kernel conflicts with bfa-firmware
yum suggests I work around the problem with --skip-broken or try running
'rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest'
Is there an accepted process for resolving this?

Looks like the last changes I did today just before rc1 release made it
just about unusable. This one is actually running on my servers. :)
