[nbdkit PATCH 3/4] nbd: Use libnbd 0.1
This conversion should be feature compatible with the standalone nbd code. Note that the use of libnbd makes the binary for this particular plugin fall under an LGPLv2+ license rather than BSD; but the source code in nbd.c remains BSD. A lot of code simply disappears, now that I'm no longer directly utilizing the NBD protocol files but relying on libnbd. Coordination between threads from

[nbdkit PATCH] nbd: Drop nbd-standalone fallback
When we first used libnbd (nbdkit 1.14), it was brand new, so we left in the ability to build a limited nbd plugin without the use of libnbd for comparison. But now that libnbd has had more time under its belt, and we have learned that our nbd-standalone code is not getting much testing, it's time to follow through with our plan to finish off the old code, and now build the nbd plugin only

Mixed bonding and vlan on plain adapter possible?
Hello, I have a CentOS 7.3 + updates server where my configuration arises from the need to connect via iSCSI to a Dell PS Series storage array and Dell not supporting bonding. So that I need to use 2 nics on the same vlan to connect to iSCSI portal IP and then use multipath. Also, the iSCSI lan is on a dedicated vlan I have only these 2 x 10Gbit adapters and I also need to put other vlans on them

snapshot mount fails in 3.12
Hi Richard, Thanks for posting this. This issues is caused as part of the regression in 3.12.0 version [1], and is already fixed in 3.12.3 [2] version (3.12.3 is tagged now with couple of more subdirectory mount related fixes). snapshot mount fails in 3.12
Hi, quick question about snapshot mounting: Were there changes in 3.12 that were not mentioned in the release notes for snapshot mounting? I recently upgraded from 3.10 to 3.12 on CentOS (using centos-release-gluster312). The upgrade worked flawless. The volume works fine too. But mounting a snapshot fails with those two error messages: [2017-11-13 08:46:02.300719] E

orphaned snapshots
Hi Due to an outage of one node, after bringing it up again, the node has some orphaned snapshosts, which are already deleted on the other nodes. How can I delete these orphaned snapshots? vfs_shadow_copy2 cannot read/find snapshots
Hi Sebastian, why are you using shadow:snapprefix if this is just ?snap?? Does it work using ONLY shadow:format = snap_GMT-%Y.%m.%d-%H.%M.%S ? If you use snapprefix you also need to use shadow:delimiter (in your case this would be ?_?). However, I never managed to get it working with snapprefix on my machines. [GIT-PULL] XFS filesystem driver
This pull request contains the XFS filesystem driver for Syslinux. Due to historical reasons (SGI IRIX's design of disk layouts), the first sector in the primary AG on XFS filesystems contains the superblock, which is a problem with BIOSes, since VBRs must be loaded up from the first sector of the active partition. Thus, we needed to handle this issue by putting the Syslinux bootsector

Patch to provide "btrfs subvolume last-gen".
Here is a patch to btrfs-progs to provide the command "subvolume last-gen": $ sudo ./btrfs subvolume last-gen /.snaps/1h-20101102-010001 transid marker was 2808 $ sudo ./btrfs subvolume last-gen /.snaps/1h-20101102-020001/ transid marker was 2942 $ So we can do something like: $ sudo ./btrfs subvolume find-new /.snaps/1h-20101102-020001 2808 | head -5 inode 100399

originate sync from the daemon server
is there anything special to do this from the daemon server. I've setup the /etc/rsyncd.conf with some filesystems and I would rather originate (control) my rsyncs from this server and not from the hosts that have the data I want. ie. I want to pull not push. for instance my rsyncd.conf [www] comment = www path = /snaps/www numeric ids = true log file = /snaps/rsync/logs/www.log pid file

orphaned snapshots
I?ve never had such situation and I don?t recall someone sharing something similar. Most probably it?s easier to remove the node from the TSP and re-add it.Of course , test the case in VMs just to validate that it?s possible to add a mode to a cluster with snapshots. I have a vague feeling that you will need to delete all snapshots. Best Regards,Strahil Nikolov? On Thursday, August 10, 2023, 4:36
