Canging bridge names on live migration
Hello, i wonder, if there's a possibility to change a name of a shared interface in virtual machine config, while doing migration. The problem is: hypervisor1 (source) uses shared interface name "br0". hypervisor2 (target) uses shared interface name "br500". Live migration fails, because target hypervisor does not have "br0" interface. Thank you

after snapshot-delete, the qcow2 image file size doesn't decrease
After snapshot-delete, the qcow2 image file size doesn't decrease, isn't that a waste of disk space? Would someone please tell me how to decrease the file size when snapshot-delete, if that's possible? The image file name of my virtual machine is d0.qcow As follows: [root at test1 ]# virsh list Id Name State

upsd crashing when stopped
Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1 NUT 2.6.5-4 upsd is crashing when stopped and I think it has only started with the latest version. Nothing shows up in 5'D upsd output, the normal output just quits. Windows 7 event log output below. It's also crashing on XP, though I do have one XP system where it doesn't crash. One difference on WinXP is the upsd process gets stuck running and doesn't

Dedicate Nic''s to DomU''s
Hey all I''m new to Linux and Virtualizing. I''m trying to dedicate my nic''s to each virtual server. For instance, virt server A would use nic1 and virt server B would use nic2 and so on. I''ve been reading some stuff for this list and to tell you the truth I''m a bit overwhelmed. We are going to run SLES10.1 and Xen. I would appreciate any assistance.

curl and CVE-2013-2174
Dear members, It may sound a silly question. I have curl installed: # pkg_info |grep curl curl-7.24.0_3 Non-interactive tool to get files from FTP, GOPHER, HTTP(S) Today portsnap updated the ftp/curl port, and patch-CVE-2013-2174 appeared in files/, but the port version remained such that portaudit, and portupgrade still complain about curl's version. What is the recommended way to

Puppet 3.1.1 Windows crashes
I noticed that a number of my Windows hosts had stopped dialing in, and upon closer inspection I found that Puppet was crashing in Ruby and wevtapi.dll. I can''t find any reference to this in the issue tracker, although I''ve got over a dozen occurrences in my environment, all with the same descriptions as below. I checked to see if the times were similar, in case the server

Problems with Samba 4.5.16 - configuring a second failover AD DC and joining this to an existing domain SAMDOM
Hello I wonder if anyone here could possibly help me? I am using Samba version 4.5.16-Debian (version information taken from sudo smbstatus) on Raspbian and attempting to prototype some future network infrastructure with a couple of Raspberry Pis. So far I have sucessfully created a Samba 4 AD DC ad1.samdom.example.com. I have successfully joined my Windows 10 dekstop client to the SAMDOM

On a side note, try recently released health report tool, and see if it does diagnose any issues in setup. Currently you may have to run it in all the three machines.
