How to correct set permissions only for a group users access the share folder
Rowland,
The first two images are from the "storage" folder, that is the main
folder, which I configured via "computer management".

The last two are related to the CTI group.
Tell me what you need to test, I do! :D

I see "everyone permission" at windows security even i didn't add.
I created a share with the config I gave below. As you can see in pictures
I have two Everyone at "Permission" and one Everyone at "Share" section.
These permissions comes when i create a share.. One of them is definitely
related to samba because it is in the "share" section, but I guess the
other two permits are comes with "posix acl".
But i did not add

Dealing with permission inheritance for CIFS Windows and NFS Linux clients accessing same data
How can I best handle file & directory permissions & inheritance when
accessing the same data on a remote server from Windows clients through
a CIFS share and Linux clients through an NFS export?
I have Samba AD working and I believe Winbind is working because when I
check permissions from the command line, whether locally on the server
or a remote Linux client, with ls, getfacl,

pattern recognition with paths
I'm trying to identify patterns among various "paths" like the following:

If I plot these, I can observe intuitively two different patterns: a front
loaded (1 and 3) and a backloaded (2,4) progress path:

I have thousands of observations like the above table, and I want to use R
to identify clusters of these paths. I

Find maxima of a function
I have a Gaussian mixture model with some parameters
mean=(506.8644,672.8448,829.902)
sigma=(61.02859,9.149168,74.84682)
c=(0.1241933, 0.6329082, 0.2428986)

c=(1/3,1/3,1/3)
Then plot would change

Centos 6.6 not booting on Virtualbox on Windows host
Hi,
I downloaded the QuickStart VM from Cloudera that has preinstalled
Spark/Hadoop etc. I have been working on that for the last 4-5 weeks and it
was running absolutely fine, but recently I had to restart my VM. Since,
then the VM does not restart. It shows the loading bar but after that it
seems as if it stopped responding. It only shows a small black screen

png(type='cairo'): point symbols without boarders are not anti-aliased?
Hi,
It seems that anti-aliasing in png(type = 'cairo') is not well
supported for the point symbols without boarders, e.g. pch = 16. The
Cairo package works well, though. You can compare png() with

Dear Ren Yongjie
Hi Yongjie,
I have just compiled and installed Xen 4.3-unstable changeset 26666 and
Linux kernel 3.8.1, according to your specifications. However, I still
cannot get success with Intel HD Graphics 4600 IGD VGA passthrough.
Although in Device Manager in Windows 7 HVM domU, it says "This device
is working properly" for Intel HD Graphics 4600, I can only get 16
colors. Please refer to

I am trying to get dovecot 2.0.19 authenticate users via LDAP (OpenLDAP

configuration of dovecot is fine, but it doesn't pull it off to send the
right request to the LDAP server. First of all, this is how my LDAP-entries
look:

Last time I used Samba was back in 1998~2000... But, I got a new job that
is forcing me to remove 3 Windows Servers with AD, by Samba4.
So, I just deployed Samba4 on top of Ubuntu 14.04, it have Bind9, IPv6, a

URGENT! Shellshock fix DOES NOT fix the bug on CentOS 5.4
Good afternoon!
After applying the latest bash RPM listed at
http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-announce/2014-September/020594.html :
The fixed RPM (bash-3.2-33.el5_10.4.x86_64.rpm) DOES work just fine on
CentOS 5.10. However, it DOES NOT work on CentOS 5.4. That is, bash runs
fine, but IS STILL VULNERABLE TO SHELLSHOCK!
