RS485 Audio device
Hi All, Is there any devices or pair of devices that do audio over RS485 and then convert to SIP for us in asterisk? Of course a speaker and push button at the other end. Is there anything like that out there? Thanks, Jerry -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

IEEE 488 & Wine
Hello Mike, I saw a posting from 2002 where you were asking about running Windows programs on top of WINE that would talk to GPIB devices. Did you ever get that working? I'm looking at some HTBasic code which has it's own drivers to talk go the GPIB card. They seem to be drivers that speak directly to the memory registers of the card. I would hope that this sort of communications

RS-485 over a half duplex serial in Centos 6.5
Hi, I am trying to make a program in C to communicate with a temperature sensor over my serial port that uses RS-485 and is a half duplex. I am however having trouble getting the device into RS-485 mode, is it possible to use RS-485 mode in Centos 6.5 or does it only support RS-232 mode?

Serial Communication
Many years ago, we began scrapping the RTOS approach for some of our timing-critical applications.? Our first applications were based on Solaris real-time extensions and served well us well for many years.? Then came the era of shaky support for Intel Solaris and we moved many applications to Linux.? There appeared to be no actual need for special real-time features with a good Linux distribution

using wine'd app w/ add-on card (pci)
I have a windows application (LabVIEW) that requires a gpib pci card and I'm trying to get the whole thing to work under linux with the help of wine (1.3.12). The gpib card driver comes in both windows and linux flavors (but the linux version seems kind of dodgy). As I understand it, using the windows driver under wine won't work because it's beyond wine's capabilities. True?

Nortel Meridian Opt 81C and PRI
We've been trying unsuccessfully to connect our Meridian Option 81C to a TE110P via PRI. We've followed the directions in asterisk-meridian-a1.pdf (link on http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+legacy+integration), but it doesn't seem to work on our 81C (even though many, many users report it works very well on Option 11's). Has anyone had any success in getting the above

off-topic question: Latex and R in industries
Latex and R are really cool stuff. I am just wondering how they are used in industry. But based on my own experience, very rare. Why? How about the opinion of other listers? Thanks.

Process hanging on 6.0-STABLE
Hi, I work for a small company that makes radar systems for research organisations and we use FreeBSD on the PCs for data acquisition and processing. We have recently shifted to FreeBSD6/amd64 and one machine in particular is exhibiting a strange problem. The acquisition process is a Tcl interpreter with a largish chunk of C code which talks to the hardware (via RS485 and a custom PCI card).

jbus/modbus UPS?
Hi, does anyone have any experience with UPSes managed with modbus/jbus protocol? I have a Socomec/Sicom Masterys MC unit, that is equipped with both RS232 and RS485 interfaces and, according to manual, supports JBUS-P and JBUS-PH protocols. I'd like to get some basic monitoring working, but I don't even know where to begin. Regards, -- Sebastian Zagrodzki Dzia? Sieciowy ICM,
