Bug#599520: xen: Patch for replacing python-xml based code with python-lxml based code.
Package: xen Version: 4.0.1-1 Tags: patch Attached is a patch which I already sent upstream that replaces the python-xml (pyxml/xmlproc) based validation code with validation code based on python-lxml. The obvious gain from this is that XenAPI works on Squeeze and Sid, where python-xml is not available anymore. Additionally this patch adds a dependency on python-lxml for the xen-utils-4.0

[PATCH] Replace pyxml/xmlproc-based XML validator with lxml based one.
Pyxml/xmlproc is being used in tools/xen/xm/xenapi_create.py but is unmaintained for several years now. xmlproc is used only for validating XML documents against a DTD file. This patch replaces the pyxml/xmlproc based XML validation with code based on lxml, which is actively maintained. Signed-off-by: Stephan Peijnik <spe@anexia.at> diff -r 6e0ffcd2d9e0 -r 7082ce86e492

remove dependency on PyXML from xen?
Fedora is keen to stop using PyXML and I have been sent a bug report https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=842843 which includes a patch to remove the use of XMLPrettyPrint in tools/python/xen/xm/create.py . I am going to try this in the Fedora build, but I was wondering if it makes sense to do this in the official xen releases as well. Michael Young

Xen HVM W2K3 DEP question
After I got Windows running it ended up having many processes which were getting killed by data execution prevention. Please remove pm-utils dep from libvirt-clients
Hi, I'm going to be retiring pm-utils from Fedora soon; it's completely dead upstream and it not needed anymore by upower or anything else. Nothing other than libvirt-clients depends on it, so when I tried to remove this from rawhide I noticed this commit: commit 7069f75cb8dad58715f723fd542e4ff69dbff51b Author: Daniel Veillard <veillard@redhat.com> Date: Thu Dec 8 17:03:16 2011

Bug#737905: Seabios 128k dropped xen support, use 256k instead and update build-dep
@Ian Campbell: you do not receive my email? I have sent some mails to you and pkg-xen-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org reporting this problem since long time ago to some days ago. As Michael Tokarev above wrote also the build-dep should be changed to seabios >= 1.7.4-2~ I saw in git that is missed in your commit:

install.packages("C", dep=TRUE) does not always install indirect dependencies
Hello again, I've found another issue with 'install.packages'. 'install.packages("C", dep=TRUE)' will "fail" when the 2 following conditions are satisfied: - Package C depends on B which in turns depends on A but the Depends field in C doesn't list A. - Package B is already installed but not package A (e.g. the user did

Shared Frailty in survival package (left truncation, time-dep. covariates)
Dear list, I want o fit a shared gamma frailty model with the frailty specification in the survival package. I have partly left-truncated data and time-dependent covariates. Is it possible to combine these two things in the frailty function. Or are the results wrong if I use data in the start-stop-formulation which account for delayed entry? Is the frailty distribution updated in the

Surv analysis with multiple internal time-dep covariates measured over different time intervals
Hi, I am analysing survival data (diagnosis time until death/cens) with time-dependent covariates. I would like to fit a cox model using the (start, stop] variable. In summary, I have the multiple internal time dependent covariates as follows; 1). LAS score (measured weekly on low risk patients, monthly on high risk) 2). EORTC score (measured monthly on low risk patients and every
