do you have libvorbisenc.h ?
Hello I'm someone who whants to do a project using vorbis libraries for encoding. I'm very impressed about what this codec can do and I want to use it. I have a school project in which I want to compress a wave file , using the power of many computers from a local network. So I'm asking you , if you have libvorbisenc libraries (Libvorbisenc 1.1) especially libvorbisenc.h and if it is

dynamicly loading libvorbisenc on Mac OSX
Hi, I'm trying to load the vorbis libs dynamicly on Mac OS X. I've got success for libogg, libvorbis and libvorbisfile. But libvorbisenc drives me crazy. The function "vorbis_encode_init" seems not to be in there if I am using "NSLookupSymbolInImage". But the tools "otool" and "nm" tell me that the function is declared. Does anyone know, what I

cvs of libvorbisenc is broken.
oggenc is not responding to the -b <kbitrate> option. No matter what i set it to, libvorbisenc seems to encode the audio file at the same exact bitrate each time and it is very filesize biased. It's basically ignoring it even though the output of oggenc as it's encoding specifically states the kbit rate i told it to encode at (on average). --- >8 ---- List archives:

How to use libvorbisenc
Hi all, I am just coming in the mailing list.... ;-) I'm working on an Ripper/Encoder for GNUstep. At first sight, libvorbisogg seems to be the library that I needed. The problem for me is documentation. So I have a few question about this library : - in order to init an encoding process, we need to provide channels. Well, what does is mean ? - in order to init an encoding process, we need

Channel stuck with call pri flag
Hi, I have a problem where some PRI channels get stuck in a "Call" mode. If I do a zap show channel XX, it shows as "PRI Flags: Call". However there is no calls on that channel. Trying to force a hangup does not work: [root@neil1 Dialer]# asterisk -r -x "soft hangup zap/27-1" -- Remote UNIX connection zap/27-1 is not a known channel Any ideas?

ogg: another tag?
I've learned that I can make a tag with vorbisgain that tells the player at what volume a track is to be played to achieve a certain level of loudness. Is it possible that there will be a tag that tells the player for instance to add more bass when it plays a track? Ore more treble? With such tags it would be possible to customize the sound of a track according to my wishes - without

c't listening test: Ogg problem at 128kbps
Hi there, I'm new to this list, and in fact rather new to the Ogg/Vorbis codec altogether. I recently downloaded the test files from the test conducted by the German computer magazine c't (this was mentioned by someone here recently). The idea was that you were given seven WAV files each for 64kbps and 128kbps, and had to rate them. The files were randomly chosen for each participant.

[RFC][PATCH] Remove private symbols from Vorbis shared libs
Hi all, I recently noticed that Vorbis shlibs export several symbols which are not present in it's public header (for a total of 85 symbols, see attach). Would it make sense to filter them via -fvisibility=hidden and -Wl,--version-script? I attached a draft patch. vorbis-tools configure
Hi guys, I'm trying to compile vorbis-tools with libvorbis-aotuvb5. The problem is that installed libvorbis conflicts with myself-compiled libvorbis-aotuvb5, though I specified --with-vorbis-libraries and --with-vorbis-includes to the vorbis-tools configure: vorbis-tools-1.1.1# CFLAGS="-static" ./configure

IE6 Text Selection Problem
Hi Guys, I have a problem with IE6. Using any version of prototype and any version of scriptaculous IE loses the ability to select text by dragging the text cursor over it. You can double/treble click text, or use shift and the arrow keys but you cannot use the mouse. This applies to text in both input and fixed elements. Has anyone else got this, or knows how to fix it? Cheers Paul Shannon

lowpass option (Was: RE: channel coupling in rc2)
I would very much like a lowpass option because for FM radio broadcasting I don't want to encode frequencies above 15khz. I'm waiting for this option before switching to ogg from mp3(lame). AACPlus Shoutcast v1.90
OK, I've organized this. It's not possible to average 32kb/s stereo with Vorbis using VBR. Quality -2 stereo proeduces roughly 32 to 38kb/s which is too high for many modems. I would have to use ABR, but last I tried that, it utilized too much CPU for my 950Mhz PC, and oddcast doesn't appear to support that option anymore. I've tried AACPlus 32kb/s mono and there is very

cram-md5 and users maintaining their own passwords?
Is there any other mechanism than using passwd files with md5-hashed passwords created by dovecotpw that will support cram-md5 authentication? Has anyone created setups where the passwd databases reside in the individual users home directories? Is it possible to persuade dovecotpw to update the passwd databases automatically. Having to use a text editor to paste in the passwords sets a high
