Problem cooperating with Windows and AD
Hi, I'm having a problem getting my Windows machines to access shares in Samba. When they browse to the Samba box it sometimes gives them an error saying that they don't have permission or that the server is unavailable. However this doesn't always happen and other times it lists the shares. When I try to access the shares it just prompts for the username/password over and over.

The error message I get is: "\\Zeus is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The account is not authorized to log in

Maia Mailguard
OK sever hours of grepping through the output of "yum list available," google, checking rpmfind, Dag, Fedore Extras, etc., and there doesn't seem to be a RPM for Maia Mailguard. If there is one please point me in the right direction and beat me over the head with the correct way to find RPMs in the future. Maybe I just need sleep...

runaway imap processes
I am running dovecot (1.2.3) with postfix (2.6.3), postfixadmin (2.1.0), maia mailguard (1.0.2) and squirrelmail (1.4.19) on Linux (kernel 2.6.27.8). I have an ongoing problem with imap processes that hang and eat all available cpu. I try killing them and they won't die. The only way to get rid of them is to reboot the server. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. I really

Thanks a lot! That would be great if you can explain further why and how the netbios session requires the netbios name, not ip address, Thanks again! NTLMv2 in Samba 3.0
I tested NTLMv2 again using the newly created Samba 3.0.2 (I didn't test 3.0.1). It still doesn't seem to work. Has anyone successfully made NTLMv2 work? If so, can I have a working sample of the smb.conf file? I have included below entries in my smb.conf (among other entries): security = server password server = NTDomainController client ntlmv2 auth = yes On both NTDomainController and

OpenSSH solaris: bad return code after exec of remote command
Hi OpenSSH developers, I am using openSSH (now 2.9.9p2, but prob occurs in 2.9p2 also) to execute commands on a remote machine which outputs data to stdout then pipes it to another invocation of ssh which connects back to the first machine in the same way, where it starts a program to read and store the output from the command on the second machine. I am using the "command" option in

inquiry about limitation of file system
Thank you for your advice. I know the issue depends on a lot of factors. Would you please give me some detail information about how to tune these parameters such as the size of cache, the type of cpu? I am not quite familiar with these detail. At 2018-11-03 22:39:55, "Stephen John Smoogen" <smooge at gmail.com> wrote: >On Sat, 3 Nov 2018 at 04:17, yf chu <cyflhn at

lose focus event?

[OT] too much spam, goodbye
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 For all the talk I hear about how good gmail is at blocking spam, you''d think the spam problem coming from googlegroups would be an easy fix. I think I''ll just watch from the forum. I love rails, but spam annoys me more. David Morton Maia Mailguard http://www.maiamailguard.com mortonda-0/IDydmJJnNeoWH0uzbU5w@public.gmane.org

Fw: Sendmail vs. Postfix
While we are speaking of mailserver related software, Mailscanner looks to have some great features, but I haven''t been able to determine that it has user-controllable settings and quarantines. For those folks that need more of a service provider approach as opposed to a corporate-friendly approach, or any combination of the two, check out Maia Mailguard: http://www.maiamailguard.com/
