Big issue regarding channel order mapping in 5.1 has been reported
I know there's a bug tracker, and that is exactly the reason why I am posting this on the dev list. There has been a report from one of the foobar developers regarding oggenc on the HA forums, but he later posted it at the bug tracker as well. Three weeks have passed and no one seems to have noticed it was there. ~*~ URL: http://trac.xiph.org/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/ticket/736 Subject:

ices produces ogg-files with two logical bitstreams
Hi everybody! I encountered a strange problem with ices-2.0.0. I use a icecast2/ices2 combo ti stream live audio and I use ices to record my stream. This worked well until last week. Since then the recording function produces somehow corrupt ogg-files. I cannot decode them to wav with oggdec, the program tells me "Only one logical bitstream currently supported". ogginfo prints out

oggdropXPd.exe crashes when resampling is activated
I need to encode a WAV to OGG but must resample to 22050 samples per second, but can't do that with oggdropXPd.exe. The application always crashes. What I do is: Start oggdropXPd.exe. Right-click on fish, choosing 'Encoding Options'. Under Advanced Options, I set Re-sample to 22050 samples per second. Click 'Accept'. Drag WAV on fish. In the directory where the WAV originates,

using win32 static libs
hi, i hope this is not too "newbie-ish" but i've never programmed with static libs before. i've downloaded the win32sdk and try to build a simple wav->ogg/vorbis encoder, but the linker complained about several redefinitions. environment is visual studio .net 2003 on winxp and a standard mfc-app set up by this project-wizzard that comes with vs.net2003 using the default

[LLVMdev] Has anyone sucessfully compile the llvm code using visual
Thank you very much for your reply. However, my question is not completely solved. I svned the latest version of the llvm. After I open in the visual studio 2005, the building errors are still there and there was not any .exe executable file output. I set the Fibonacci project under the solution as my startup project and issue the debug-run command. However, the vs 2005 just prompted me that the

Updated Win32 SDK build environment
I updated the win32sdk build environment. To summarize: 1.) Added a "mkmak.bat" script to create, install and run an automation macro to perform makefile export from the command line. 2.) Updated makesdk.bat to utilize "nmake" and generated makefiles for performing builds. 3.) Added "sdk\build" which contains a complete build environment for building all the

Listing of oggdropXPd at http://www.vorbis.com/software/
Could I request, please, that the link on this page that currently points to: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jfe1205/OggVorbis/ be changed to point to: http://www.rarewares.org/ogg-oggdropxpd.php It is simply that the Rarewares site can support a much greater bandwidth than I can and I usually update it ahead of my own webspace. (It's also a 'proper' web site rather than just an ftp

win32sdk-1.0.1
If you are after a 1.0.1 SDK built in the same format as 1.0, and if the current CVS is firm for the release, then you can download the SDK from: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jfe1205/OggVorbis-win32sdk-1.0.1.zip This is built from the current CVS using MSVC++6 SP5. If this helps speed up the release, great, otherwise, no problem, it kept me amused for a few minutes!! John <p>--- >8

automake 1.6 compatability patch
This patch cleans up the vorbis-tools Makefile.am files so they work with both automake 1.4 and 1.6. Some changes to configure.in were also needed in order to get things to work (and to fix some ac 2.50 issues). Please remove config.h from cvs as it is a generated file and empty anyway. automake 1.6 isn't really incompatable with 1.4, it's just more picky about you sticking to the rules:

oggdec channel ordering bug
Hi. I just noticed that oggdec channel reordering for WAV is bogus. With irrelevant clutter removed, oggenc has the following code: permute = {0,2,1,4,5,3} // oggenc/audio.c:401 for (j) to_vorbis[j] = from_wav[permute[j]] // oggenc/audio.c:619 While oggdec has the following code: permute = {0,2,1,5,3,4} // oggdec/oggdec.c:229 for (j)

re: adding the the RC2 tag...
No you are not wrong, the win32sdk was never tagged. Monty, Jack, et. al.: Can I tag the head revision of just "win32sdk" with the rc2 tag? -- or some such tag as to point win32 people to overlay the rc2 freeze? I know this violates the normal source code control protocol of not touching freezes, but it may help with win32 builders of rc2. Just an idea... -Chris CW> Are you
