automake 1.6 compatability patch
This patch cleans up the vorbis-tools Makefile.am files so they work with both automake 1.4 and 1.6. Some changes to configure.in were also needed in order to get things to work (and to fix some ac 2.50 issues). Please remove config.h from cvs as it is a generated file and empty anyway. automake 1.6 isn't really incompatable with 1.4, it's just more picky about you sticking to the rules:

[PATCH 0/5] update build system
This patch series modernizes various aspects of the autotools based build system. There is a lot more that could and should be done, but I tried to stay conservative for now and just resolve some of the most obvious issues. Max Horn (5): configure: replace XIPH_C_FIND_ENDIAN by AC_C_BIGENDIAN autogen.sh: replace this by a simple call to autoreconf configure: always print

oggdec in cvs?
I downloaded a nightly CVS tarball about a week ago. It contains an oggdec tool in vorbis-tools. However, I don't get this tool when I checkout / update from CVS. What's the deal - is it in CVS or isn't it?! :) -- -:-:- David K. Gasaway -:-:- XNS : =David K Gasaway -:-:- Email: dave@gasaway.org -:-:- Web : dave.gasaway.org <p><p>--- >8 ---- List archives:

Cleanup/build improvement for opus
Hello all, after FOMS I decided to take a look at the opus library and I found that I could improve a bit the build system and cleanup the code a little bit. Most of the changes to the code has been suggested by my two tools cowstats and missingstatic (part of the ruby-elf gem if you care). HTH, Diego

Divide by zero in accumulate_fit
Hi, Lately, my oggenc builds (from CVS) haven't been running correctly. In a few debugging sessions, I've found that I'm getting a divide by zero exception. The exception happens in accumulate_fit (floor1.c), line 455: int weight=nb*info->twofitweight/na; Here is the call stack: accumulate_fit floot1_fit mapping0_forward vorbis_analysis oe_encode main The

My patches in bugzilla
Has anyone put an eye to my patches*? AFAIK, they're simple and quite innocuous. Sorry to be a bother. Borland compiler
Has anyone compiled the ogg and vorbis libraries with borlands c compiler (bcc32)? If so, are there any makefiles or similar available which can make it easier for me to do the same? /Erik <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-dev-request@xiph.org'

[virt-v2v] "make distcheck" now passes
There were a few "infelicities" that kept the "make distcheck" test from passing. These three patches combine to fix all of them, punting on only one by disabling the install-data-hook rule. >From 7504acedcb71bd80d99abe412e6669b267cade38 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jim Meyering <meyering at redhat.com> Date: Fri, 21 Aug 2009 13:37:18 +0200 Subject: [PATCH 1/3]

RECORDNUMBER
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi! I am going to encode almost 2000(!) CDs to OGG soon and I will use the tag RECORDNUMBER (as opposed to TRACKNUMBER) to indicate which record in a multi-cd-album it is. Maybe I'll also use the tag RECORDNAME if the record also has a name (eg Nine Inch Nails/Fragile's records are called Left and Right). Please make this tag (at least

Updated comment padding patches
I've attached updated patches (against vorbis-tools 1.3.0b3.5) to support comment padding. No changes to libvorbis are necessary. The padding is added in the same way as oggenc2 (null bytes within the packet, at the end) and shouldn't cause problems with any reasonable decoder or comment editor implementations. Padding is enabled by default, except for small files (less than 30 s for

In response to requests, I've given my vorbis BCC projects a thorough cleaning. They are now much more professional, complete, and include a little documentation. Ogg Vorbis 1.0 ready! The new files are available here: http://dave.gasaway.org/vorbis/vorbis_bcc.zip At this time, they cannot compile with the free command-line tools available from Borland. If anyone can help make

ogg123 patch for tag display
Last week, I suggested a change to ogg123 for tag display. Well, tonight, I've filed a bug and hacked together a patch: http://bugs.xiph.org/show_bug.cgi?id=179 How does it look? <p>P.S., I would have provided a link to the e-mail in the archives, but it seems the current month is no longer available from the archive master indices. -- -:-:- David K.
