ov_bitrate -- is it fake or real?
I'm sure you're all aware ov_bitrate doesn't include some of the data in the Ogg bitstream in its calculation that's (AFAIK) required for decoding Ogg Vorbis streams.. I was wondering what the reasons for this are, as the results are quite different in some cases (36.7kbps -> 24.7kbps for one ogg I created).. -- Zinx Verituse --- >8 ---- List archives:

Barcode or EAN code?
One my of my CDs has a bar code, 4 011222 044068, which is titled "EAN CODE". Another one simply has a barcode, 07822-18646-2, without any title. Should I assume that the barcode of any CD is the EAN code? I'm asking this because I want to know how to title the comment of the Vorbis file -- "EAN code" or "Barcode". Thanks. -------------- next part

Little list of horrors.
Hi all, I was investigating the SMB signing problems between Win2k clients and Windows XP servers and thought I'd take a look to see if there were any hotfix patches for Win2k that were post service pack 2. I discovered this list.... : http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com/support/ServicePacks/Windows/2000/Win2000_Post-SP2_Hotfixes.asp of *amazing*

Finding dependancies?
Hi although the background is that it happened on an hpc cluster, this question does *not* concern hpc computing with R. I was using R on a cluster and had to install several packages in my home directory. Now the head node was migrated to new hardware (new install as well) and many dependencies for my in $HOME installed packages, which were present on the old head, are missing on the new head.

Sweave - problems with underscores in variable names...
Hi all, I've just started using the Friedrich Leisch's Sweave package to generate LaTeX reports with results of my analyses embedded as required. I've encountered a bit of a problem though in the processing of the resulting *.tex file that is as far as I can tell, down to the fact that my variable names have underscores ('_') in their names. stream encoded in big-endian machine and then decoded in little-endian machine
Hi, all, I have a question about encoding/decoding in big/little endian machines. I have a client running in an old PowerBook G4 with big-endian CPU, the audio stream is encoded then transmitted to a Mac Mini with little-endian CPU, and decoded in this Mac Mini. I am wondering the decoded stream is in big-endian or little-endian? What kind of necessary steps I need to process when I build the
