beta4 merge
Monty merged his branch onto mainline. mainline is now beta4. Give it a whirl, test the crap out of it, etc. I've got about 20-30 emails full of minor patches and a few big patches for build system stuff, so for those of you who were waiting on me, I haven't forgotten and will be getting to those in the next few days. If all goes well, we'll be tagging beta4 and cutting the

libao AU driver
Hi, I noticed there was some discussion on this list about the desire for ogg123 to support output to stdout via Sun's .au file format, so I decided to give implementing an AU driver for libao a shot. Here is my first attempt. To test the driver: * Apply the patch below (against ao in CVS) * Copy the attached ao_au.c into ao/src * Run ao/autogen.sh, compile, and

Web page for OS/2 port
Just FYI, I've created a web page for the OS/2 binaries I've made at http://silk.apana.org.au/vorbis/ I've also included the full source I built from and a diff between that source & the current CVS. Of course I'm keen to see as much of that diff as possible committed to the repository, although you can ignore the DartLib & oggplay stuff. They should be superceded by

[Patch] OS/2 port
[Repost, maybe it will get noticed with a better subject] So now beta 4 is out is there any chance you guys will have time to review some of my patches? Here's a simple one. It just adds the standard integer typedefs for EMX GCC. I've flattened the structure using #elif's so it doesn't get a level deeper for every platform added but the result should be the same. I realise

ogg123 bug
Potentially nasty bug in current HEAD when printing the name of the file being played (the "Playing: filename.ogg" bit), any % symbols in the name appear to be printf parsed causing either junk to be printed or a crash or both. I noticed this when trying out http streaming as the url has %20's in it for spaces in the file name. Oh, and it still says it's rc2... --

turning comma separated string from multiple choices into flags
Hello, I use google docs' Forms to conduct surveys online. Multiple choices questions are coded as comma separated values. For example, if the question is like: 1. What magazines do you currently subscribe to? (you can choose multiple choices) 1) Fast Company 2) Havard Business Review 3) Business Week 4) The Economist And if the subject chose 1) and 3), the data is coded as a cell in a

inline/Rcpp: Problem with space in path under Windows
I am trying to run inline/Rcpp under Windows 64. The RTools are installed on a spaceless path D:\rtools. Inlining pure c-code works perfectly. When I try the sample code for cpp in the cxx Documentation, I get: x86_64-w64-mingw32-g++.exe: C:/Program: No such file or directory The path to the compiler is correct. Obviously there is some problem with the space in C:/Program (Files). Any ideas

Help with customizing a histogram figure
Hi all, Please consider the following code: require(plotrix) l <- list(rnorm(50),rnorm(50,sd=2),rnorm(50,mean=3)) multhist(l) I have two things I need help with: (1) In the output, there are empty spaces on the x-axis. How would I eliminate these spaces? I want a nice, smooth, empty-spaceless x-axis. (2) How could I add tracing lines to each histogram? I am undoubtedly using the wrong

broken controls in "Captain Claw" game
Hi. I want to play the old '97 game "Claw". It installs and runs, but strangly I can't jump in it! No matter what I use, keyboard or gamepad. Normally, if you tap the spacebar, the character makes a low jump; if you hold the spacebar, he makes a high jump. However, under wine all jumps are low. Other movements work fine though. I even tried to run the game under winxp guest in

Trouble with upgrading - RBS T1
Upgrading an ancient customer installation... was running 1.4.23.1 (Trixbox) with Zaptel 1.4.12.9 and a Sangoma A102D, which has been running fine for 5+ years. Customer getting anxious about hardware failure, so we built a new box and installed 1.8.24.0, Dahdi 2.7.0.1, and a new Sangoma A104D. The single active span is an RBS T1 B8ZS/ESF/E&M Wink. [PATCH net-next 1/2] virtio-net: correctly update XDP_TX counters
Commit 5b8f3c8d30a6 ("virtio_net: Add XDP related stats") tries to count TX XDP stats in virtnet_receive(). This will cause several issues: - virtnet_xdp_sq() was called without checking whether or not XDP is set. This may cause out of bound access when there's no enough txq for XDP. - Stats were updated even if there's no XDP/XDP_TX. Fixing this by reusing

Dom0 crashing on x86_64
I am seeing a problem with Dom0 crashing on x86_64 whenever I create a DomU. I''ve done some more testing, and it appears that this problem is somehow related to networking. Dom0 crashes as soon as the networking services are started when DomU is coming up. As an experiment, I brought up DomU without networking, and it stayed up. As soon as I started DomU with networking enabled, however,
