Error in compiling Speexdec code (Speex-1.1.5 code) on Windows using VC++6.0
Hi,
I've downloaded the Speex-1.1.5 code and am trying to compile the Speexdec code using Microsoft VC++ 6.0 IDE.
When I try to open the speexdec.dsw workspace, I get a dialog asking to locate the ogg_static file. I simply cancel that message, and then the project is opened in the VC++ 6.0 IDE.
Now, when I simply try to compile the program, I receive this 5 error messages.

More mdct questions
Sorry for starting another topic, this is actually a reply to Segher's post
on Sun Oct 22 on the 'mdct question' topic. I wasn't subscribed properly
and so I didn't get email confirmation and thus can't add to that thread.
So Segher, if the equation is indeed what you say it is, then replacing
mdct_backward with this version should work, but it doesn't.
Am I applying

Setting up the trig tables.
As some of you know, I'm creating a hardware MDCT core. At the moment
I'm working out the best way to create a lookup table for the trig
values, as set up in mdct_init:
/* trig lookups... */
for(i=0;i<n/4;i++){
T[i*2]=FLOAT_CONV(cos((M_PI/n)*(4*i)));
T[i*2+1]=FLOAT_CONV(-sin((M_PI/n)*(4*i)));
T[n2+i*2]=FLOAT_CONV(cos((M_PI/(2*n))*(2*i+1)));

Problem linking libvorbisfile on Mac OS X
I'm working on getting the Darwin/Mac OS X port of Vorbis up and running again and have run into problems building libvorbisfile. I have installed the latest libtool (1.3.5) and modified it to handle Darwin/Mac OS X better (to create shared libraries, dylibs, that can be linked against other dylibs instead of creating bundles which cannot be used as input to the linker).
But, when it tries

[RFC PATCHv3] Encode optimize using libNe10
Changes from RFC PATCH v2
- fixed compile issue when just compiling for --enable-intrinsics
for ARMv7 without NE10
- Notes for NE10:
- All compile/link warnings are now in upstream NE10
- Only patch pending upstream in NE10 is the one that
needs to add -funsafe-math-optimizations for ARMv7
targets.
- Phil Wang @ ARM is working on getting this fixed.
- Note that even without

What is the format of the PCM/WAV dataforspeex_encode & speex_decode?
I thought it would be more update/better/faster, any thing wrong?
In the future, would you use short, and forget about float?
If so, I use 1.1.4, I wouldn't need to change my code in the future, right?
You said, it's unstable, yes, I got compiling errors with MsVC6 and MsVC.net
And I modified it a bit to get it compiled. Should I post the errors here?

[RFC PATCH v1 0/2] Encode optimize using libNE10
Hello opus-dev,
I've been cooking up this patchset to integrate NE10 library into opus.
Current patchset focuses on encode use case mainly effecting performance of
clt_mdct_forward() and opus_fft() (for float only)
Glad to report the following on Encode use case:
(Measured on my Beaglebone Black Cortex-A8 board)
- Performance improvement for encode use case ~= 12.34% (Based on time -p

[RFC PATCH v2] Encode optimize using libNe10
Changes from RFC PATCH v1:
- passing arch parameter explicitly
- reduced stack usage by ~3.5K by using scaled NE10 fft version
- moved all optimization array functions to arm_celt_map.c
- Other cleanups pointed out by Timothy
Phil,
As you mentioned earlier, could you please address all
compile and linker errors/warnings coming out of Ne10 library?
You can find my working Ne10 repo at [1]

This is Miroslav's patch, from the mailing list post I dug up in the archives:

[RFC PATCH v1 2/2] armv7(float): Optimize encode usecase using NE10 library
Optimize opus encode (float only) usecase using ARM NE10
library. Mainly effects opus_fft and ctl_mdct_forward
and related functions.
This optimization can be used for ARM CPUs that have NEON
VFP unit. This patch only enables optimizations for ARMv7.
Official ARM NE10 library page available at
http://projectne10.github.io/Ne10/
To enable this optimization, use

voice sound like robot voice :)
hy,
here is my speex encoder/decoder .. the sampleRate i use is 16000 and
quality,complexity are at 5.
can someone take a look in to the code and see if there is something that is
making that robot voice
here is a link to colored and numbered code, same as below

faster mdct's
Hello Vorbis folks,
I'm one of the FFTW authors (www.fftw.org), and a few days ago I was
playing with our codelet generator for fun and modified it to spit out
hard-coded MDCTs of small sizes. The code (at
jdj.mit.edu/~stevenj/mdct_128nr.c) for 256 samples (128 outputs) seems to
be almost twice as fast as the Vorbis MDCT code for that size on my 2.2GHz

hy,
recording and playback is working perfectly without speex.
i have try to set samplerat from 6000 to 441000 and quality from 1 to 10 sam
with complexy, but the best i can get is with 16000 samplerate, 5quality and
3complexy .. but still, the voice that came out is annoying, artificial,
robot ,...
