patch to add device-option to ogg123 rc file
Below is a patch for vorbis-tools-1.0beta4 ogg123. It adds support for using the rc file (like /etc/ogg123.rc) for configuring the device-options. In addition, comments can be used (when they start a line). My ~/.ogg123rc: default_device=oss default_options=dsp:/dev/audio Please share your comments. Jeremy C. ogg123 synopsis and man page fixes
The output of ogg123 -h and the man page should be updated to document the devices currently available through libao. Repeat patch for ogg123
Hi, I have made a small patch for enabling repeating in ogg123. It adds the parameter "--repeat n" or "r n" where n indicates how many times it repeats the playlists. Zero in forever. Apply it if you like, I find it very convenient. -- Regards Niels Sandmann Jabber: sandmann@jabber.dk, Email: sandm@nn.dk -------------- next part -------------- Only in ogg123: .deps Only in

ogg123 remote interface
Hi, I've been working on ogg123 to see if i could add a remote interface compatible with the one in mpg123. This remote interface is used mainly by mp3 players which use mpg123 as their backend. The reason i did this was that i have recently encoded some of my cd's in ogg vorbis format but wanted to keep using my favourite player (playmp3list,

Patches for NetBSD
I submitted four new packages for the NetBSD pkgsrc collection: libao, libogg, libvorbis and vorbis-tools for 1.0beta4. The following is some of the patches needed for libao and vorbis-tools. Official Developers: When you receive patches or development suggestions can you please acknowledge them? (For example: "Noted.", "Thanks, but already done.", "Not necessary,

Ogg123 Patch Status?
I was just curious about the patch that I sent for ogg123 that implements the --quiet and adds in the --skip option? Also - I would like to know what are the main cvs modules and branches in which development takes place? Specifically, I would like to look at the very latest libao and ogg123 sources. I would also like to know where the main development for libvorbis takes place Regards, Ali

Manpages
Here is patch with manpages for ogg123(1), mp3tovorbis(1) and vorbize(1). Manpages are in pod format, because it is the most readable man source, and are compiled by pod2man. all and clean for man/ work. Install and uninstall for man/ seem to work. Manpages are GPLed of course.

text/plain attachment: manpages.diff
-------------- next part

[vorbis-tools] Some patches coming from Debian bugs
Hello. Attached are some patches that some Debian users of vorbis-tools have sent to our BTS over the years (numbers refer to Debian bugs). It'd be nice to see them integrated. They apply cleanly to SVN as of today. The largefile_support one is a bit bigger than just the configure.ac since the submitter adviced that config.h got included in all C source files before the standard includes,

automake 1.6 compatability patch
This patch cleans up the vorbis-tools Makefile.am files so they work with both automake 1.4 and 1.6. Some changes to configure.in were also needed in order to get things to work (and to fix some ac 2.50 issues). Please remove config.h from cvs as it is a generated file and empty anyway. automake 1.6 isn't really incompatable with 1.4, it's just more picky about you sticking to the rules:

patches to beta 4 spec files
Hi, Attached are patches for the beta 4 distribution, fixing minor problems in RPM spec files. One question: are there any reasons not to include vorbiscomment in the vorbis-tools binary package? I've added the long-awaited utility program into the revised spec file, but I wonder if it is a wrong change... Regards, -- KAJIYAMA, Tamito <kajiyama@grad.sccs.chukyo-u.ac.jp> diff -ru

AGAIN: ogg123/ogg123.c of vorbis-tools causes error on FreeBSD
In the vorbis-tools of the 20010710 version of CVS snapshot, ogg123/ogg123.c causes error on FreeBSD: <sys/types.h> is required. This *HAS NOT BEEN FIXED SINCE THE 20010601 VERSION*. I would appreciate if you just add an #include line - or let me know why you do not want to do so. // Kenji Rikitake *** ogg123.c.FCS Sun Apr 8 11:33:08 2001 --- ogg123.c Sat Jun 2 00:40:08 2001

ffmpeg adaptor for ogg123
Hi all, I'm not sure if this is interesting to you guys (I'm also not 100% convinced this is the correct list) but I hacked up an adaptor for ogg123 to allow it to use ffmpeg as a decoder. It currently only recognises WMA files (I wanted to be able to play my wife's music from my Linux music server) but it would be trivial to extend to any other formats ffmpeg supports. Anyway, if

ogg123 - remote control interface
Halo vorbis devel team, I have a question concerning remote control interface in ogg123. I have searched this forum and Internet and found that in 2002 there was a patch made adding remote control interface to ogg123. My question is, if this will be included in the main trunk some day? Because this way whenever I upgrade ogg123 I have to adjust the patch and then patch it.... Thanks for

Couple of fixes for ogg123
I noticed that ogg123 still has its problem opening multiple devices. HereĀ“s a patch that fixes that. I made it considerably easier by changing append_device to return the new device struct instead of the head of the list each time. This way, the options for the device are modified with the structure already in the list, instead of building up options before doing so. I also moved an fprintf
