XMMS plugin cannot play b3 encoded files
Hello, The subject pretty much says it all. I downloaded the beta 3 RPMs and installed them. Encoded a disc with the and XMMS segfaults when attempting to play them. However, there are no problems playing files from a prior release. FYI, Pat -- "You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake!" - Tyler Durden <HR NOSHADE> <UL>

xmms-flac security update breaks XMMS' flac-playing ability
Hello, First post to this group. I've been searching for about a week now to find anyone who can solve this problem or point me to the solution. I've been a happy xmms-flac user for 4 years until this week when some new FLAC security updates came along and completely stopped XMMS from playing FLACs on my PC. This is most irritating as I have over 3,500 CDs ripped and FLAC'd in

xmms module
Okay, here's my first hack attempt at an xmms module. I managed to link (although not test) this with the current libvorbis CVS source (which needed some "help" compiling) and xmms 0.9.5.1. I'm guessing I made some fairly obvious mistakes in here which can be hammered out even without bitstreams to test it on. Tony Arcieri <HR NOSHADE> <UL> <LI>TEXT/x-csrc

xmms-flac security update breaks XMMS' flac-playing ability
that missing symbol appears only in libFLAC 1.2.1 or later, so it sounds like the version dependencies in xmms-flac were not set up to automatically pull in 1.2.1. check the versions of the other flac packages on the machine (not sure what they're called in ubuntu but probably flac or libflac) and make sure they're up to 1.2.1 --- Myke Carter <mykec@mykec.net> wrote: > Hello,

Possible memory leak / xmms input plugin
Hi list, It seems that when playing several OggVorbis files under xmms, there is a memory leak. It's a rather annoying problem because when you have a playlist of 100+ files, xmms will at the end eat something like 100M or more.. Such a memory leak have been reported inside xmms-1.2.2 code and I could see it playing Ogg files and mp3 files ; upgrading to 1.2.3 solves the problem with mp3

testing needed: log file concurrency
http://dovecot.org/tmp/concurrency.c I'd want to know what results this program gives with different systems. Please test and reply (but don't bother if someone already replied with the same OS+result). I expect it to print: - SMP kernels: "page size cut" once in a while - UP (uniprocessor) kernels: Nothing - The most important thing is that it never prints "broken

vorbis plugin crashing xmms
I've got a song that causes the vorbis plugin for xmms to crash while reading the vorbis equivilent of id3 tags. What is the proceedure for reporting bugs like this. Do I mail the bug into this mailing list and then serve the song off of a FTP server? -ben --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this

Speex test cases? and XMMS speex plugin
> Btw, has anyone else noticed that the Speex XMMS plugin is missing? While > speexdec works well, I'd kinda like to use XMMS. Yes, I mailed the web master and Jens about it a few days ago. I have the version I'm currently using which was based on an old version of Jens and has streaming support. It's a bit queer on seeking, and crashes XMMS if you seek while in pause, but it

xmms-plugin problem
hello! I use flac 1.0.2 with xmms 1.2.5 . The problem appears when I use the scroll bar to listen a few second forward in the song ("seek to ..."). Then xmms does'nt react and stops playing music for a few seconds. After these few second xmms works fine again and plays the song. The length of these pause is longer when I want to listen near the end of the song; its shorter when

XMMS with liveice-xmms plugin
Am I making the right assumptions.... I run icecast and then only need to run xmms with the plug in enabled to stream to the net.... Or do I need to run LiveIce as well??? When I try running liveice and xmms together xmms locks up. Any ideas? Thanks Kevin --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this

xmms plugin for ogg
Hi there, As per my long winded tale yesterday, the link to the xmms plugin on the site is a binary executable. Where can I get the source? I want to get xmms going with ogg files on a FreeBSD box. GSM player or plugin for XMMS
Hello. I can't find a gsm plugin for XMMS. How do Unix, Linux, BSD users listen to gsm samples ? Regards...Martin -- While you don't greatly need the outside world, it's still very reassuring to know that it's still there.

Mac OS X - xmms plugin probs
Ok, it seems i had problems with stale stuff in there. I made clean and started over. The first part now correctly says " remember to run `libtool --finish /sw/lib'". The xmms plugin now gives a different error: /bin/sh ../../mkinstalldirs /tmp/sw/lib/xmms/Input ../../libtool-disable-static --mode=install /usr/bin/install -c libxmms-flac.la

Has anyone had success getting on-board sound to work on a Tyan S2895?
My setup is as follows: Motherboard: Tyan S2895 CPU: Two Opteron 275s Memory: 4 GB Disk: Three 250 GB SATA drives attached to a 3Ware 9500S-4LP RAID card Video: Nvidia GeForce 7800 The only hardware that I have added to the motherboard is the 3Ware card and the Nvidia card. The disks are configured as a RAID 5 array, and the machine boots from this array. I installed CentOS 4.2 x86 on this

XMMS FLAC plugin
I posted this problem to the bug tracker a few weeks ago, but never got a follow-up. I appologize if I missed it, I've been having some email problems lately. The problem is that the FLAC 1.0.4 XMMS plugin doesn't work with XMMS v1.2.7 (as shipped with RedHat 8.0). The FLAC 1.0.3 plugin works fine. I think this is the same problem as: [ 630228 ] FLAC 1.0.4 XMMS plugin problem? I've

xmms plugin
Anyone else hacked together an xmms plugin for Vorbis? I took my best shot at it based on the source and some of the info I've picked up off this list... I haven't really tested it yet, but I think with a little bit more hacking it might actually work. I can put the source up if anyone wants to dink around with it, but I'd rather just clean it up a little then perhaps ask xmms if

XMMS plugin doesn't see ID3V2 tags
I tagged some FLAC files with ID3V2 information (by the id3v2 program), but their metadata does not show up in XMMS. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have a solution? (I tested the tags using the --list option of id3v2; they are there. XMMS and the FLAC plugin just don't seem to respect them.) -- Asheesh.

Mac OS X - xmms plugin probs
That patch does get the .libs dir added to the compile line. But the other problem is that libtool is attempting to link against the installed version of libFLAC, that is $(DESTDIR)/lib/libFLAC.dylib instead of -lFLAC. See: cc -bundle -flat_namespace -undefined suppress -o .libs/libxmms-flac.so plugin.lo -L/sw/lib /sw/lib/libFLAC.dylib -L/sw/src/flac-1.0.2-1/flac-1.0.2/src/libFLAC/.libs
