Overlap of leaf labels
Hi,
I have tried looking at the archives but havent found any answer that works
till now (Sorry if i have missed anything)
I am a newbie to R and i am trying to carry out hierarchical clustering
using hclust -> as.dendrogram and then plotting the results as a dendrogram
using the plot function plot(object).
My question is :
In the function "plot", can one decrease the leaf label

Kingsoft Writer, etc.
Latest PCWorld mag had a nice writeup on Kingsoft Office software, which
comes in 3 flavors, the lowest of which is free, so I d/l'ed it and
installed it in Wine,
version 1.4-1pclos2012--the latest version the pclos distro has. It
seemed to install OK, but it won't open any file, and it won't open even
a blank file so you
could write on it. (Just looking at Writer, for the

Which Linux system to download?
Hey all,
I'm from England and recently all of the 6th form students at my school was given a laptop for studies, meaning I got one.
The thing is it's Linux so I'm having trouble opening a .exe
Thankfully I came across Wine but the thing is I'm not sure what Linux system the laptop runs on.
Here's a link to the laptop:

Is this just anti-Ogg FUD?
I was recently talking to a friend of mine who produces what's widely
referred to as "techno", music that's heavy on electronically generated
loops and effects, samples, and has plenty of bass.
He doesn't like ogg for a few reasons - he sent me a rather long email, and
I've stripped out the nonsense from it (he has some technically irrelevant
reasons for not liking

Steganographic extension to Speex
Hello kind developers,
I am planning on creating a steganographic extension for speex/CELP.
Since speex/CELP is lossy, there should be quite many bits that one
can use for hiding data.
I'm familiar with the principles of CELP (two filter loops, one for
pitch, the other for formants, let the raw speech frame run through
those filter loops, take residue signal, map it on a codebook entry,

Unknown rootkit causes compromised servers
Here is the applicable article:
http://www.linux.com/feature/125548
There are links in the above article that explain tests for the system
and what is currently known about the rootkit.
Apparently initial access is NOT via any vulnerability but just guessed
root passwords.
There are currently 2 methods to see if you are infected:
1. In some cases, the root kit causes you to not be able to

[LLVMdev] Re: Compiling FreeType 2.1.9 with LLVM 1.4
Adam sent me his tar file and only one file in it needs to be attached
to a bug report, and it's only about 260KB. The initialization that
causes the errors is below. I'm sure I can prune it down significantly.
static const FT_Frame_Field header_fields[] =
{
{ ft_frame_start, 0, 54 },
{ ft_frame_ulong_be, (FT_Byte)sizeof (

Windows 7 + Samba 3.5.6 = abject misery...
Can anyone help with this? I set it all up a few months ago, the samba
side being standard upgrades via debian - configured as a PDC, and the
windows 7 clients being clean installs, with the standard
lanmanworkstation regedits done.
They've been working fine since then, but have now started failing,
instead raising the error message

A few hours ago 20 addresses got unsubscribed from this list due to

re endcoding syntatx ices2?
G'day,
doing a spot of reencoding on my 64k ogg files, trying to create a
stream for those poor sods who are still on dial up. The syntax below
works - gives me a 28k stream. Seems like the bitrate has little
effect on the reencoding. Anyone know all the commands I can use -
still no documentation for this ver2 of ices and icecast hey?

Newbie
I am using Winamp, Icecast2 Server, and Edcast. I believe I have set these
up properly so that I can set up and broadcast an internet radio station.
These are the links I used to help me:

Sieve broken after upgrade
Hi everyone,
after switching to ubuntu (from debian) and running a newer dovecot
--version 2.2.33.2 (d6601f4ec) i encountered a problem with configuring
sieve. The mailserver has virtual maila accounts stored in /decrypted/%d/%n
Prior, i used
plugin {
? sieve = ~/.dovecot.sieve
? sieve_dir = ~/sieve
? sieve_before = /etc/dovecot/sieve/before.d
}
after the upgrade, I moved the sieve_before
