Experimental Bitrate peeler
Hi All,
As specified in earlier email we have released the trial version of the ogg vorbis decoder. Along with the decoder we have released an experimental version of the bitrate peeler that we have used to test the decoder for bitrate peeled inputs. We have made the executable of the bitrate peeler available from our website downloads section.

(second round) creating a certain type of matrix
Hi R users
Here is what I got with help from Petr Pikal (Thanks Petr Pikal). I modified
Petr Pikal's code to a little
to meet my purpose.
I created a function to generate a matrix
generate.matrix<-function(n.variable)
{
mat<-matrix(0,n.variable,(n.variable/2)/5+1) #matrix of zeroes
dd<-dim(mat) # actual dimensions
mat[1:(dd[1]/2),1]<-1 #put 1 in first half of first column

Boonex Dolphin PHP script is SCAM! Beware!
Boonex is a scam. I had to purchase their "Advanced" membership first to be able to contact anyone to ask questions or get help. Then after purchasing a license for $39 I posted on their forums and was dog piled by their staff and premium members who have been around so long they forgot how to be polite.
I never got the software working because most hosts have restrictions for the .EXE

Rhubarber (advanced peeler)
Hi all,
[For the uninitiated: a "peeler" is a program that transforms
a Vorbis stream into a smaller, (somewhat) lower quality Vorbis

After having prototyped several peelers that aim to peel

Recently I was ripped off by this company named Callcheap Networks Inc, and
so did one of the carriers I recommended to them. Now I am perusing legal
action against them, a mess in which I never wanted to get into. Based on my
bad experience, I wanted to let everybody know if this guy named Mike Low
from Call Cheap Networks Inc. (callcheap.com) contacts you, please be
careful. If

"Enterprise Class Hard Drive" - Scam Warning
Hi All,
I know many of us here manage RAID on our Centos based servers so this may
be of interest to us all.
I ordered three new "Enterprise hard drives" this month from a well known
UK online retailer. The drives arrived as new in their anti-static
packaging. Before using one of the drives in a mission critical hardware
raid I checked the SMART attributes and was amazed at what I

Is the VNC setting available for non-hvm DomU''s?
I have been scouring this list''s archives and have consumed any and all
how-to guides I could find but am still unsure. All discussion in this
list on this issue is around hvm/vti DomU''s. Has anyone been able to
attach a vnc client to a vanilla (non-hvm) DomU using the VNC console
setting?
On an FC5 (2.6.16-1.2080_FC5xen0) kernel deployed on vanilla (non-hvm)
hardware,
