Vorbis primitive API examples (LONG)
Okay, how do I drop a changeset/patchset/tag for you folks from SVN? At this point, I have written three examples of how to use the basics of the ogg streaming and decoding in Tremor. I heartily welcome any suggestions, improvements and corrections that you can point out in the code. The examples required me to make some small modifications to the main tremor library. However, the changes

vorbis-tools/Makefile.in glitch...
I'm updating my vorbis rpm spec file, and when I try to do "make -C vorbis-tools ogg123", due to rpm's build environment, I get lots of: gcc ogg123.o -o ogg123 -lm ../lib/libvorbis.a ../lib/vorbisfile.a ../lib/vorbisfile.a(vorbisfile.o): In function `_get_prev_page': vorbisfile.o(.text+0x54): undefined reference to `ogg_sync_reset' vorbisfile.o(.text+0xa9): undefined

Fixing libvorbisfile to handle largefiles
[I'm not online regularly, so don't include me in any replies. Looks like the archives are working at present, so I'll catch up from them when I get a chance. Thanks...] (Trying out vorbis-dev@ instead of vorbis@ where I sent my previous messages; if this is the wrong place, correct me) Greetings. Some weeks ago, I submitted several hacks which gave me the ability to play Ogg

Discontinuous stream support in libogg1
Hello, I recently added discontinuous stream support to libogg1. The patch is attached. I also wrote Writ codec for libogg1 (based on original code by Arc), and sample Writ encoder (SubRip to Writ converter) and decoder. Is anybody interested? Newbie: How to rewind a videostream (long)
Hello, I'm new to this list, and pretty much also to the codec universe. In a computer game I'm working on, there is an 3D TV-screen onto which I project the frames of a movie. The movie is of course stored as theora, no audio as it's not needed yet. I have it working so far, extracting a frame and uploading it to the graphics card when the scene is drawn. The example file

Seek problem 1 - can't find frame number
Hi people, I'm writing a decoder that uses libtheora on Windows and Linux. Decoding works well by now. I have a couple of problems with it, that I just can't seem to figure out. I'll write each of them in a single mail, so it's easier to answer individual problems. The first problem I have is seeking, when it's playing files. I have implemented a weighted binary jump

speexdec 1.2.3
Dear Jean-Marc and Peter: Thank you both very much for your time and advice. I did not realize that Lame MP3 code has a -r option (without reading its code). I have tried the suggested command lines verbatim with the added -r option, along with other combination of option settings. I could not figure out how to eliminate the distortion in the result, like voice turning either high or low

Getting a GUI to work with Vorbis code
I am trying to create a Graphical User Interface for a Vorbis Player under MS Visual C++ 6.0 I was initially trting to use the code from decoder_example.c but I keep getting linker errors. I have set up my project as told to by James Boer on this mailing list. This is as follows: This document was prepared from an email received from James Boer on the Ogg Vorbis mailing list. chaining serial number
Hi, The documentation at http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/doc/oggstream.html tates that "Each chained logical bitstream must have a unique serial number within the scope of the physical bitstream" Doesn't this mean that the sequential multiplexed streams have same serial number? I am confused looking at the following code segment in vorbisfile.c

ogg_sync_pageout
It seems to me that running ogg_sync_pageout doesn't automatically advance the page. This is good if you haven't worked with the given page, makes coding somewhat easier. However, when does a page advance. Is it after a call to ogg_stream_pagein? On a side note, I need to do seeking on top of libvorbis, I'd love to use vorbisfile but sadly I can't. Is there a reasonable way to

ultra-low bitrate stream?
I am writing a long-run sound recording application using OggVorbis. The user can adjust sound quality parameter to make balance between storage space and sound quality. The input sound is 22050Hz, mono. To maximize the recording capability on a given storage volume, we want the result bitrate as low as possible. I use -q0 parameter and it produces a 32.0kbps stream. It is too high (our

ogg_stream_reset() question
Hi Ogg experts! My current work is catenating packets from several ogg files to the one long stream, so I'd like to create stream once, and then reset it just before reading codec headers from every new file. However, after calling ogg_stream_reset_serialno(ogg_stream_state *os, int serialno), bos page is not pushed in stream since it calls ogg_stream_reset(ogg_stream_state *os), which

Building on BeOS part 3
After fixing a 'bug' in libtool, I've finally got ogg compiling and producing a shared library. Now I'm trying to build vorbis but I'm falling over at the final step. While trying to produce libvorbisfile. The make file is trying to compile with gcc -nostart vorbisfile.o -L/boot/home/config/lib -logg -Wl,-soname - Wl,libvorbisfile.so -o .libs/libvorbisfile.so with
