java vorbis encoder and examples
I'm currently involved in a project where in we need to record the audio from a mic encode with vorbis, then put it in Ogg container, and then make it as RTP packet and transmit over Darwin Streaming Server. Till now we were using JMF with available codec's, since JMF handles the RTP part life was pretty much easy using it. Now we want to use Ogg Vorbis because of its adv's. So in

is this correct way of doing it ?
I've realized that there is no java api for encoding into vorbis. We got decoding one tough(Vorbis SPI). Currently we got Java Prgm to capture sound from mic and "encoder_example.c" that would take byte stream and encode it into ogg format. So, right now we are in the process of using JNI for calling the C routines using Java. The main aim is to transfer this data over Darwin

Silent Vorbis Packet
Hi, I'm Computer Science undergraduate at The University of Cambridge, England. I'm currently writing a dissertation on using Vorbis for "Receiver Driven Layered Multicast". This uses a similar idea to bitrate peeling to create a multicast audio stream where the client can pick the bitrate by receiving a subset of the multicasted layers. I will be happy to release some

Spaces removed from subjects in FETCH response
I'm using SpamAssassin to tag spam and prefix the spam score to the subject line. To make the scores sort properly in the client's message list, I pad the score with spaces to right-align it. It looks like dovecot-0.99.10.9-1.FC3.2 is frustrating this by stripping the excess spaces from the subject before reporting it in FETCH responses. Here's an actual subject line: Subject:

Samba 4 DC backups
Mark Ok so you doing the exact opposite of what the samba_backup script does with regards to ldb and tdb files, but then you are shutting down Samba to do a backup anyway so it doesn't really matter what you are doing in this regard. I want a consistent backup while Samba is running. Regards Mike On 2015-09-01 16:08, Mark Foley wrote: > Here's what I do before tar'ring: >

linking with libFLAC on Mac OS X
Hi everyone. I'm working on a FLAC plugin for the Java Media Framework (JMF) on Mac OS X. I'm having some trouble linking to libFLAC... When I first try to link to it, it tells me the libFLAC.a TOC is out of date, so run ranlib. So then I run ranlib, and it seems to be okay, except I then get undefined symbol errors: % cc -bundle

Pure Java theora implementation - LGPL
I've started working on a pure-java port of Theora under the LGPL, as a subproject of FMJ, the open-source implementation of JMF. It is similar to and dependent on the jogg/jorbis libraries from jcraft. The Cortado implementation is nice, but since it is GPL, that is too restrictive for FMJ, which is LGPL. This is, naturally, a large undertaking, and any help by anyone interested would

Big send/receive hangs on 2009.06
So, I was running my full backup last night, backing up my main data pool zp1, and it seems to have hung. Any suggestions for additional data gathering? -bash-3.2$ zpool status zp1 pool: zp1 state: ONLINE status: The pool is formatted using an older on-disk format. The pool can still be used, but some features are unavailable. action: Upgrade the pool using ''zpool

J-Ogg is available
I think the software is ripe enough for a broader audience now, so I would just like to inform you about the Java library J-Ogg, available from http://www.j-ogg.de Features: - Open source & free. - Decoding of Ogg-encapsulated Vorbis and FLAC streams. - Support for local files, single files over HTTP, icecast streams over HTTP. - Plugins for JMF (Java Media Framework). - J2ME (Java 2 Micro

Setting working directory (PR#1338)
Full_Name: Jeffrey M. Freedman Version: 1.4.1 OS: Mac OSX Submission from: (NULL) (169.226.200.51) I'm running R version 1.4.1 (NOT DARWIN VERSION) and it crashes every time I set a working directory (either from the menu or using setwd) to a path that is longer than a certain number of characters. This was not a problem in version 1.3.1. Thank you.

Creating an SIP softphone
Hello, I have been reading up on the capabilities of the Asterisk-Java library. I believe that this library can act as an interface between a Java GUI(custom softphone) and the Asterisk server. Seems like the Live API would be easiest to use to make the connection to the Asterisk server and to set-up calls. One thing I am not sure about is how to transmit the audio streams between users'

Hello, we are currently working on my project that aims at improving the register allocation scheme by identifying if the interference graphs are chordal or not. we are working on the llvm compiler .we are forcing the compiler to use PBQP register allocation scheme by an option of ' ' regalloc=pbqp ' during the execution of prgm. we have been succesfull in accessing the interference

Samba 4 DC backups
Here's what I do before tar'ring: find / -mount -type d -path /etc/samba-JMF -prune -o -name \*.tdb -exec tdbbackup {} \; find / -mount -name \*.tdb.bak -exec ls -l {} \; # (log .bak updates) This gets all the tdb files on the root filesystem, excluding mounted drived (-mount) and excluding tdb files I have in /etc/samba-JMF which is an old installation folder that I should probably

Samba 4 DC backups
Mike, I thought I pretty much did the same thing as the backup script: backup ldb, do tar. Also, I am stopping Samba for good measure, but I don't think I need to. What makes you say I'm doing the "exact opposite" of what the samba script does? Please explain, I want to be consistent with good practice. --Mark -----Original Message----- > Date: Tue, 01 Sep 2015 19:19:31
