[LLVMdev] cross compiling with the C backend
For my master's thesis, I am trying to cross compile programs for the
PSP (PlayStation Portable) with LLVM and llvm-gcc.
This is what I do:
(1) compile a program and the libraries it uses (libpng etc.) with llvm-gcc
(2) link the bitcode files with llvm-ld into one file
(3) run "llc -march=c" on the result
(4) compile the resulting C source with the PSP toolchain
It seems to work

Using MGE UPS's with NUT and openSUSE
Dear List, I thought it might be useful if I wrote up my notes on getting
an MGE UPS to work with NUT and openSUSE.
The MGE UPS (an Ellipse 1500 USB) will work well with NUT and openSUSE
10.2, but not "out-of-the-box": there are some things you need to do:
Intro. MGE have built rpms of NUT which greatly simplify installation.
Merci MGE. I used the rpm's for nut-2.0.5 and the

UPS MGE serial cable over network.
Hi,
I'm forwarding your mail to the NUT list, because of a lack of time,
and also since some others (Charles) already looked at this issue IIRC
(related to the development branch 'netport').
cheers,
Arnaud

[LLVMdev] GSoC Mips backend improvement
Hi all,
Last year i was mentored by Chris Lattner at GSoC and i created the
Mips back-end for LLVM. The back-end is still experimental (working
with simple benchmarks only) and this year i would like to improve it
as my GSoC proposal. Mips is still fairly used nowadays in a lot of
devices - routers, wireless cards, PSP, PS2 - and it would be great to
have a stable mips backend for LLVM.

PSP, Protection Center 500, NUT 2.0.2 and Gentoo
Hi,
I recently bought a MGE protection center 500.
I am running a gentoo, and I am currently trying to enable the ups
handling by the os, with no success.
First, I compiled and installe nut 2.0.2 (with usb support) and psp
3.0. I made ebuild for them that I will submit soon to
bugs.gentoo.org.
The ups is connected via usb, and lsusb confirms that the device is
detected (cf end of the mail for

Hewlett Packard Server support packs
I am trying to install the HP PSP on a CentOS 3.4 server but it keeps
telling me, only on certain rpms mind you,
that the OS is not supported. I have made the modifications to
redhat-release which cleared up some of the initial
errors I was having but not all. Where else would the rpms be getting
the OS info from? Better yet, has anyone
managed to get the Linux PSP to install on a CentOS

Where to put dll files for applications on a wine system?
.
I just copied all of my Paint Shop Pro 7 files from another partition
into a "Paint Shop Pro 7" subdirectory within the "Program Files"
directory on a new wine installation. When I run psp.exe, I got a very
long list of complaints/errors similar to this one:

Suse10 libgtkmm problem with x86_64
Hello,
I have installed mgeups (for Mge ellipse premium 500) in a Suse 10 x86_64
machine with yast2. But when I try to launch psp I receive the next error:
psp: error while loading shared libraries: libgtkmm-2.4.so.1: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory
and don't start.
The rpms installed are:
mgeups-psp-3.0.1-3
nut-2.0.2-5

Problems suse 9.3, ellipse premium 500
Hi,
I have installed in suse 9.3 and ellipse premium 500 usb a psp 3.0 with yast2
and versions:
nut-2.0.2-4
mgeups-psp-3.0.0-3
the first time that I launch psp it seems to contact
the UPS and you can make changes to the parameters
and all seems ok. If you make a reboot the psp hangs
up and if you try /etc/init.d/ups it fails:
Starting service NUT:

That was my intention. The PSP has a 32-bit MIPS (derived) CPU. What I
don't know is if that triple is the right one

Please Help for MGE NOVA 1100 AVR Serial configuration!
Hello,
It is 3 or 4 weeks ago since, i want to set communication with my ups a MGE
NOVA 1100 AVR. I do it first with manual configuration but after no success, i
prefered to install mgeups-psp package to do it directly. But since when i
execute psp,
the attempt finish with an "No communication with UPS" error.
Same is when i type: mge-shut -u root -DDDDDDDDDD /dev/ttyS0 .

predict(backSpline(x)): losing my marbles?
I'm sure I'm doing something completely boneheaded here, but I've
used this idiom
(constructing an interpolation spline and using prediction from a
backSpline to find
an approximation profile confidence interval) many times before and
haven't hit this
particular problem:

MGE Ellipse Max 1100 configuration question
Hi,
I bought an Ellipse MAX 1100 a few months ago. First I attached it to my
desktop and installed mge's personal solution pac. (a graphical
interface which uses nut). It works. But I want to attach the ups to my
server which runs without an x-server.
I followed http://opensource.mgeups.com/install/debian.htm. Didn't work.
Then I copied over the configuration files which the personal

Well, in general - yes. However, I'm not sure up to which margin.
