another cool use for the vorbis direct show filter
Hi. My name is Lorenzo Prince. I am new to the list, but have been an Ogg Vorbis user for about 6 months now. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the format at all bitrates, and it has become my format of choice for encoding my entire music collection. Well, I just thought everyone might like to know that I have found a possibly undocumented use for the Ogg Vorbis direct show filter.

5.1ch decoding question
Hi.
I've some question about audio-stream of OGM.
I know some encoding tools, such as headac3he or BeSweet, can encode
5.1ch AC3 files into 5.1ch vorbis files, but I couldn't find any
decoding tools which can decode 5.1ch vorbis files properly.
Current Tobias's Ogg Direct Show filter 0.9.9.1 (and its libraries)
doesn't support decoding 5.1ch vorbis, right?
And if so, how can I

How to make SpeechBackground keep playing if utterance doesn't match our grammar
Hi,
We've run into an interesting (to us) problem with SpeechBackground. Inside a
AGI script, we're playing some extended audio?basically, like a podcast?and we
want playback to stop if and only if the speech recognized matches something
in our grammar. If there's speech that doesn't match, we just want to go
right on playing. (We're using LumenVox as our speech recognition

I have a sieve file that reads like this:
require "fileinto";

fileinto "mail.emacs-devel";
}
elsif header :contains "List-Id" "emacs-bidi.gnu.org"

Unfortunately the List-Id based lines don't appear to be working,

OT: systemd Poll
Interesting that you should cite Stallman because freedom is an issue here, we've been reduced to Microsoft when it comes to init. We've lost most of our flexibility with no option to choose piecemeal what we want and don't want.

Stallman @ NYU
I did manage to dv-tape this from the front row, and thus
got pretty fair audio, but a slightly awkward camera angle.
NYU Media Lab had a tripod set up at the back, and were
apparently intending to webcast the results via real. They
were a little taken aback when I mentioned Richard's aversion
to propietary formats, and thanked me profusely for pointing
it out, and saving them grief.

Xen C6 kernel 4.9.13 and testing 4.9.15 only reboots.
As a follow up I was able to test fresh install on Dell R710 and a Dell
R620 with success on CentOS 7.3 without issue on the new kernel. My new
plan will be to just move this C6 to one of the C7 I just created.

Edit grub's entry and add "noreboot" to your xen parameters, maybe when the
kernel panicks xen detects it and automatically reboots it.

Anyone please make Wine permissive?
Sir,
I am rishikeshan. I am a 14 years old student. I am interested in permissive open community. I hate copyleft.
Don't fear of commercialization. It is needed to the earth. Actually, GPL is blocking the development. I will definitely help you if you make it permissive. Maybe you can make YOUR code permissive. How permissive nature help you?
How can I get old BSD release?

bind update flubbed somehow? (resolved)
ugh, the upgrade changed the owner from named to root on /var/named
where my zone files are and
therefore named could not read the zone files.. How embarrassing.. ;)

I've already responded to Richard. Is there a volunteer who can edit
the page to fulfill his request? If so, please edit the page let
Richard know that you've completed the task.
Thanks,
