with binaural-(or dummy head-or Kunstkopf-) recordin g, does vorbis keep the 3D sound?
Not exactly sure if this is what you are looking for, but here goes:
RC3 and prior maintain channel seperation with Q>=5.0 (cut-off is exact)
Vorbis 1.0 maintains channel seperation with Q>=6.0 (not sure of the exact
cut-off)
with release code, selecting a Q of 5.99 or lower will make assumptions for
channel seperation to save bits.
earch the archives for "ambisonics" - you may

H323/Netmeeting shaping
Hi,
Has anyone ever succedded in shaping H323 traffic ?
I mean reserve a certain bandwidth for it, in order to
have a comfortable Netmeeting, and not be disturbed by
downloads & others.
I tried with HTB but it doesn''t seem perfect...
Thanks for replies,
Sam

tagging & encoding options I hope)?
Also, today I tested MPEG+ encoder which you can download from

Re: Some compile time stuff
M > What is the error produced? It doesn't appear in the log.
....ah, and now I see why... Actually, this is a nifty failure, and we
(well, *I*) haven't seen it before. The libs were apparently
miscompiled; gcc/ld produced a shared lib missing neccessary shared
lib symbols.
Now all that remains to be seen is if this is a libtool option error,
if your gcc/ld are broken, if they

Semantics of "virsh migrate --copy-storage-all" vs. --copy-storage-inc
Hello,
what is really the difference between
virsh migrate --copy-storage-all
and
virsh migrate --copy-storage-inc
?
There are some documents talking about NBD snapshots, but the user
visible semantics are incomplete.
Where does the incremental stuff happen?
Does it require qcow2 files?
Does it work with raw files?
Does "--copy-storage-inc" require existing snapshots?

SuSE 10 dom0 network and console problem
Hello,
I have a problem getting the domain 0 (dom0) of xen running with
SuSE 10.
I have a SuSE 10 installation, which runs.
When I switch to the xen kernel, the network does not work any more.
Also the serial console does not work any more.
If I login to the PC through (a very lousy) KVM, I can do local
stuff, but the network does not work. (Ok, I can ping my own IP
Address.) e.g. nslookup

FLAC->mpc transcoding
Hi guys. First off, keep up the good work on FLAC: great now, and looks promising in the future :)
I wonder if anyone's aware of the issues with FLAC->mpc transcoding: it works under linux but not windows. Sorry if this has been bought up loads before - i couldn't see it here.
Here's the message mppenc 1.02 comes up with on trying to encode a .flac :

Short block test
Frank Klemm made the clip to test short block switching -
it's made of series of short periodical 'pulses', and this period
gets smaller as time passes.
You can get this file at:
http://www.uni-jena.de/~pfk/Short_Block_Test.wav.gz.gz (1.6MB)
(uncompress it twice with gzip)
I used oggenc beta3 & mp+ 1.7.8
Oggenc gave 160kbps using mode -b 256
mp+ gave 350kbps (using
