"Use R" -- term and logo copyright?
Dear list,
I would like to start some R workshops at King's College London, and
to do so, I would like to use the "Use R!" logo at
http://www.agrocampus-ouest.fr/math/useR-2009//useR%21%202008_fichiers/useR-middle.png
Since it seems to be difficult to get a shell account at KCL, I also went
ahead and registered use-r.org.uk and am starting to put together a

Ogg & Ogg Vorbis _unofficial_ logos page.
Hi all,
I've just set up a web page with my functional, yet very ugly and _very
unofficial_ set of logos for Ogg, Ogg Vorbis and family.
http://www.marevalo.net/OggLogos
They have been desinged with the classic CD and DVD corporate logos in mind.
If someone has any problem with them or the web page please contact me.

list of kernel patches --- where?
Traditionally, I've needed to compile my own kernel for my embedded headless systems.
Traditionally, I've been on RH7.3; kernel source came with the distro.
Now I'm looking at Centos 4.2 as my base, and two question arise
1: Where is the kernel source (I can hunt it down again, just wanting to know if anybody has a link to it they can paste please)
2: What are the patches applied to

Samba T-Shirts
Just FYI, the Samba Team have printed up a bunch of T-Shirts with the new
Samba logo on the front and our slogan "opening windows to a wider world"
on the back. See the Samba web pages for info.

Somewhat OT: OpenOffice.org Headless issues as non-root user
Hi,
I've installed recently OpenOffice.org 3.1 on Centos 5.3. I use OOo in
headless mode. I have no problem when running as root, but I'd prefer
run it as non-root user (oooserver user). When I run the script in
debug mode this is the output:
sh -x /tmp/ooo-headless-nonroot start
+ . /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions
++ TEXTDOMAIN=initscripts
++ umask 022

Send in your favorite CentOS slogan today
Hi everyone,
The CentOS project is looking for more slogans that may end up on
promotional material (eg media, flyers, posters or stickers). We already
collected a few funny, ironic, sarcastic or even distasteful ones.
Feel free to visit our Slogans wiki page for a good laugh or rude
offenses and add your own slogan by sending them to this thread.

[PATCH] inspection: lift size limit for RHEL icons
In RHEL-based distros, the provided icons have (obviously) different
sizes than the RHEL ones, used in icon_rhel as reference.
Since 100K should be a reasonable threshold for avoid keeping a
per-distro list of limits, just use it as only size limit.

Done,
anybody can send me his logo and I promise to publish it on my page
without any previous censorship.
Thanks.
P.S. I used OpenOffice Draw because Sodipodi does no yet support grids
which I need badly for my designs (I have some AutoCAD backgroup and I
am a very technical guy, apart from that I love Sodipodi and in fact the
SVG on my site has been retouched with it).
