sgreaming in ogg format?
hello I am interested in broadcasting over the internet in vorbis.
currently I am using windows xp.
I am wanting to know the following 2 questions if any one could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
1. besides the oggcastdsp plug in for winamp is there any other plugins or programs I can use to stream to a vorbis compatible server?

Hi. My name is Lorenzo Prince. I am new to the list, but have been an Ogg Vorbis user for about 6 months now. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the format at all bitrates, and it has become my format of choice for encoding my entire music collection. Well, I just thought everyone might like to know that I have found a possibly undocumented use for the Ogg Vorbis direct show filter.

having asterisk play music on hold to callers while phone rings?
hello how do I set up asterisk to play music on hold to callers while it rings my phones?
I am using the amp portal to configure the asterisk pbx just to let you all know.

spa-1001 with asterisk?
hello my friend is trying to get his spa-1001 (sipura) 1001 connected to my asterisk box.
he reset his spa-1001 to factory defaults I emailed him the voip-info page I found on google and yes I did look on google anyways he isn't able to get the thing to connect to it eg getting a dial tone, he did install x-lite and it worked fine with that
am running asterisk@home 1.0
can some one please tell

IP SIP Phone/2.0.6
Dear all,
I know, you get what you pay for. I bought an IP SIP Phone/2.0.6 from safe.com (?55) and the basic functionality is fine.
The problem is when it tries to re-register it hangs for a minute or so and you can not dial nor receive any calls. It also
has a registration button which causes the phone to do the same once pressed.
This however this does not occur when the phone registers

Wine : Windows and Fonts Are Huge
I have Ubuntu 8.04 and installed wine but the windows and fonts are extremly big and wont show the whole window ..

nmblookup fails
I'm debugging my Samba setup using the
"Troubleshooting Techniques" from Sam's Teach Yourself
Samba in 24 Hours.
Everything works fine up until the nmbd section. I am
able to do the following correctly:
nmblookup -U 127.0.0.1 __SAMBA__
nmblookup -U 127.0.0.1 POGO (the server)
nmblookup -B 192.168.1.255 WIN-CLIENT (the client)
but when I do nmblookup -B 192.168.1.255

panic possibly related to soft updates? (4.8-STABLE, Jun 12 2003)
Hello list,
I have been fighting this problem for a few days now. I have changed memory
and opened the case and monitored for heat. I have been getting the same
panic about every 12 to 24 hours. I can let the system sit idle, or run it
under a heavy load (cpu and disk), but the panics dont seem to be related to
system load. It looks to me like a dangling pointer in

I use SAM broadcaster and at times WinAmp (with DNAS plugin)
These are the broadcasting softwares I use. (I generally use WinAmp unless I'm going live then I change to Sam)

5.1ch decoding question
Hi.
I've some question about audio-stream of OGM.
I know some encoding tools, such as headac3he or BeSweet, can encode
5.1ch AC3 files into 5.1ch vorbis files, but I couldn't find any
decoding tools which can decode 5.1ch vorbis files properly.
Current Tobias's Ogg Direct Show filter 0.9.9.1 (and its libraries)
doesn't support decoding 5.1ch vorbis, right?
And if so, how can I
