Using oggenc
Hello all,
I wanted to ask some experienced users some settings about oggenc.
1. How can I setup oggenc so that I can DIRECTLY rip tracks off my audio cd?
As we all know, audio cd doens't really have a file format that we can
directly use. Do I HAVE to convert them to wav files then convert them to
ogg files?
2. The options: -b -m -M with the bitrate of the audio file. If I set

Free Mirrors
Help!! We offer 4 gigs of classical ogg files at pan.zipcon.net. Traffic
can be very heavy, even with a mirror at MIT, which however may disappear
in the future. Free mirrors are very welcome. Please contact

Cochran-Armitage statistics
Dear R-enthusiasts,
I am trying to do a Cochran-Armitage test for trend in R. After consulting
google I found Torsten Hothorn's remark that the 'coin' library could be
used.
lungtumor <- data.frame(dose = rep(c(0, 1, 2), c(40, 50, 48)),
tumor = c(rep(c(0, 1), c(38, 2)),
rep(c(0, 1), c(43, 7)),

[Fwd: Trend test and test for homogeneity of odd-ratios]
I partly answered my question since independence_test() function in coin package apparently do
Cochran-Armitage trend test just like Eric Lecoutre's function tabletrend() - slightly modified here:
> independence_test(pheno ~ geno, data = dat2, teststat = "quad", scores = list(geno = c(0, 1, 2)))
Asymptotic General Independence Test
data: pheno by groups 1 < 2

R-beta: New user - looking for help with ANOVA
Hi
I've just installed R on our Sun kit in the lab and on my Linux box at home.
My statistical expertise is not advanced - I have completed Open
University probability and statistics courses, and been using
Gary Perlmans !STAT package for analyses of variance, descriptive
stats, linear regression, non-parametric stats etc for 10 years or so.
(so be gentle with me :-) )
However, R is

modifying predict.nnet() to function with errorest()
Greetings,
I am having trouble calculating artificial neural network
misclassification errors using errorest() from the ipred package.
I have had no problems estimating the values with randomForest()
or svm(), but can't seem to get it to work with nnet(). I believe
this is due to the output of the predict.nnet() function within
cv.factor(). Below is a quick example of the problem I'm

ahhh thats what one i was looking for, since the dir was moved it wasnt
linked up anymore.
just some ideas, but the dir intro (top 10-20 stations) should be on the
front page of icecast.org and some links for xml parsing per station in
addition to one giant heaped page.
that way stations could parse that and display there status on there page
via a php script i could

NTP strangeness...
Hi Marco,
As far i can see here.
Are all your ADDC servers set to the same source NTP ( preffered a stratum 1 or 2 ) server. ( and not pool ntp sources )
Because below i see stratum 4 and stratum 3 servers and a timeout on one server.
When i look at this.
