ogg player for mac
Hi: Seems to me that Whamb! needs to be listed on the vorbis.com software page for MacOSX. This seems to be the best player out there for the mac (acording to what I've read here and on other lists) and it's not listed there (or at least it wasn't about 12 hours ago). iTunes / quick time
Any idea if/when there will be official ogg support for iTunes or Quick Time for Mac ? The dual G4s have this stupid thing where if we stick the quick time components on the Mac and it screws them up, or the Mac gets screwed later, then it nacks up the warranty or sumthin. Basic point is we need official quicktime or iTunes support so we can play Vorbis on the Mac!!! Anyone heard anything on

Quicktime + FLAC?
I bought myself a PowerBook and hoped to play my FLAC-encoded library via iTunes. Alas -- it doesn't work. My understanding is that iTunes uses QuickTime for playback; does anyone know where to find a FLAC codec for QuickTime? I noticed that there was some discussion about this ~1 year ago on flac-dev. Did any dev projects get underway, or should I roll up my sleeves and give it a go? -Dave

flac ogg quicktime iTunes
Hello, I'm going to start by asking something that has probably been asked before (although I didn't see it on the lists at sourceforge). Is anyone working on getting iTunes to work with flac? I'm bouncing around a few ideas and it seems like the logical approach would be to write a quicktime component using this project as a base http://qtcomponents.sourceforge.net I see a

flac files playable in iTunes 5.0.1 ?
Hi, Is the recent version 0.1.5 (08.05.2006) of XiphQT compatible with iTunes 5.0.1 and Mac OSX 10.4? I am trying to get flac files to play in my iTunes and hope I don't have to upgrade iTunes and get all the junk that comes with it. i already have ogg support, so this is an incremental improvement. -- Thanks, Jerry

Listening to Ogg streams with MacOSX
This comes from Indymedia audio list, Whamb! should probobally be listed on the vorbis.com software pages. ----- Forwarded message from nathaniel t <vsea75@hotmail.com> ----- The whole world doesn't use Linux or Windows. Some tiny fraction of computer users use Macs. I didn't realize until yesterday evening how difficult and mysterious it is to try to listen to an icecast ogg

LSUB "" "" vs LIST "" "" (hacked Apple Mail problem)
The LSUB command does not act like LIST when provided with an empty mask argument. LIST responds with the hierarchy delimiter: * LIST (\Noselect) "." "" OK List completed. whereas LSUB doesn't return anything useful: OK Lsub completed. RFC 3501 doesn't specify what LSUB should do in this case, but Courier IMAP has LSUB act like LIST. PDC and concurrent logins
Hello! I am using samba running as a PDC at our school. I have read many docs and howtos but I can't find anything about Concurrent logins. I would be a nice feature becouse I don't want my users to login more than one time. Is there anyone that does have a clue? I can listen to a stream locally but not from anywhere else.
Also don't forget that the full version of WinAmp is required to play oggs. The lite version doesn't support it. iTunes can play local .ogg files but not streams if you download the ogg components from qtcomponents.sf.net. I haven't messed with real player, and I have no intention of doing so. Joel Karl Heyes wrote: > On Mon, 2005-01-31 at 16:46, Brian Beck wrote: >

Echo Cancellation, what format does the .sw files have
Hi I'm debugging why echo cancellation does not work in my app using the DUMP_ECHO_CANCEL_DATA flag. What format does the data I receive have, looks like 16bit integers just dumped but when plotting it in MATLAB I do not get a raw audio data signal I expected. (no subject)
Hi guys. I downloaded the xiph-qt-win32-0.1.5.zip file from your website. I unzipped and placed the .qtx file in C:\Program Files\Quicktime\QTCompenents. It doesn't install anything. There's no .exe file for it, and even if there shouldn't be, iTunes won't play .FLAC files or even .ogg files. Am I missing something here? I can't see an installation process. Is it possible to

[LLVMdev] JumpThreading and @llvm.dbg.declare()
Hi! I have a small issue with the JumpThreading pass (in opt). As described in the code (JumpThreading.cpp), the pass may if certain criteria are fulfilled duplicate the content of a block. If the duplicated block contain a call to @llvm.dbg.declare() you will end up with invalid code as the intrinsic @llvm.dbg.declare() only should occur once for each variable. I think the JumpThreading

Ogg Vorbis QuickTime Component
Hi all, I don't know if this is the place to ask about this, but I'm going to try anyway. There is an ogg-vorbis plugin for iTunes on Mac OS X that is downloadable from http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14259 or http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/mac/13012&mode=feedback Unfortunately, this plug-in (a Quicktime component) crashes iTunes for the latest version of

playing .ogg files with iTunes
Not sure if this is well known, but there is a relatively easy way to rip/encode your CDs with iTunes+oggenc: - Install the QuickTime components (http://qtcomponents.sf.net) - Rip CDs to AIFF format files - Run a script that encodes each aiff file with oggenc. This script could use the file name and directory name to fill in some of the tags. (The tags won't show up in iTunes, though.) -
