libvorbis: NO_FLOAT_MATH_LIB patch
This is in response to NO_FLOAT_MATH_LIB not getting set on Solaris. The patchlet below - makes configure check for sqrtf(), - defines HAVE_SQRTF if sqrtf() has been found, - uses HAVE_SQRTF in lib/os.h. NO_FLOAT_MATH_LIB isn't used any longer. --- configure.in.orig Fri Mar 30 02:02:35 2001 +++ configure.in Fri Mar 30 02:10:16 2001 @@ -162,6 +162,7 @@ dnl

icecast-1.3.12 on SunOS
Hello, I sent the mail below a few days ago to the icecast user discussion and support list. Until now nobody could help me. Maybe this list is a better place for problems of this kind? icecast-1.3.12 on SunOS
Thomas, unfortunately it does slow down the machine. I am working in a chroot enviroment and there are other users on the same box. Therefore it's of special importance that I don't consume the cpu by myself. Titus Am Sonntag den, 15. icecast-1.3.12 on SunOS
Hello I compiled icecast-1.3.12 on a box with uname -a: SunOS star19 5.6 Generic_105181-31 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-cEngine. The result works properly. The problem is that the icecast process generates 100% cpu load even if no sources and no clients are connected. If I trace the process using truss, I get the following: ... open("/dev/zero", O_RDWR) =

Apart from what probably is a bad assumption in the code, does it actually present a problem ? Meaning, even though it indicates 100% cpu usage, does it slow down your machine

problem with samba 3.0.28/Solaris 8/smbclient
Dear Samba users, I am trying to update our local samba packages to 3.0.28. They are built against heimdal-1.0.1 and openldap-2.3.38. The Redhat Enterprise Linux 3 and 4 packages are working fine so far in my limited testing. The problem with heimdal and "net ads join..." has been fixed on all 3 platforms. On the Solaris 8 server, the "net ads join..." works correctly and the

redhat vorbis install
I hope I'm not being an idiot, but I'm attempting to install vorbis-1.0 RPMs on a few redhat machines and failing horribly. I'm in dependency hell. For starters, libao-0.8.3-1 requires libasound.so.2 (an alsa library?) which does not seem to be available in any recent redhat releases. Then vorbis-tools wants libcurl.so.2, which makes redhat 7.2 machines choke. Worst of all is

Vista won't copy roaming profile to server
Hello, fresh installed Samba 3.024 o Debian system as PDC with roaming profiles. Vista only creates user.V2 in [profiles] but not copy profile after logoff. Directory is writable and XP works good. Any ideas? Thanks. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Vista-won%27t-copy-roaming-profile-to-server-tp21910084p21910084.html Sent from the Samba - General mailing list archive at

New CURL version dependency
I just checked IceCast out from CVS in an attempt to compile it again (I went through the whole build cycle just a couple of months ago), and I came across this error when I was building it: <p>source='yp.c' object='yp.o' libtool=no \ depfile='.deps/yp.Po' tmpdepfile='.deps/yp.TPo' \ depmode=gcc3 /bin/sh ../depcomp \ gcc -DPACKAGE_NAME=\"\"

Installing Icecast...
I'm trying (and failing) to install Icecast on a fresh-off-the-line Redhat 9.0 box. When I attempt to install the RPM with the command: # rpm -i icecast-2.0.1-1.i386.rpm ..the result is: error: Failed dependencies: curl >= 7.10.0 is needed by icecast-2.0.1-1 ...so okay, I wonder to myself, which verion of curl do I have running? # yum info curl ...and I learn that I am running a

Esword just started crashing with segmentation fault
Hi all, Been using Esword for months on a self-compiled wine (the self-compilation was for WC3 hosting, but that's another story). Just today I tried to start it up as usual and it flashed the main window and crashed. Running the command from the terminal just gives me the cryptic 'segmentation fault' error. I've tried upgrading Wine to 1.15 and 1.16 both, as well as a downgrade

New YP listing code in icecast2
I have just committed this code to CVS, and here is more information about it for those interested : - the spec that I went off of for the protocol can be found here -> http://www.oddsock.org/icecast2yp/spec.html - since icecast2 now needs to potentially connect out to yp servers for communication, libcurl has been added as a dependency...I used curl 7.9.8... - I also have currently
