Winamp3 Player Plugin error
The Winamp3 hit the streets yesterday, so i gave the FLAC Winamp3 plugin a
shot (dragged cnv_flacpcm.wac to the Wacs/ directory, yadda yadda) and
received the following error message when starting Winamp3:
---
Studio.exe - Entry point Not Found
The procedure entry point_chkesp could not be located in the dynamic link
library MSVCRTD.dll.

Winamp3 component update
Okay, I've done a bit of work on flacpcm.cpp and the Winamp3 component
workspace. I updated the workspace & projects to use the SDK for build
488 (based on GenericWACTemplate). I also fleshed-out the MediaInfo
callbacks, so that standard Vorbis comment fields are reported (author,
album, genre, date/year, title, track, description), although id3 tag
info takes precedence. So flac

Q: WinAmp3 Plugin
I just installed WinAmp3 on my machine and then needed to
install the WinAmp3 plugin for FLAC.
Now, when I start WinAmp, it says it needs MSVCRTD.DLL
This is the debug version of the MS Visual C library.
Ok, now I tracked down a version of MSVCRTD.DLL
(File Version 6.0.8797.0) and it prevents WinAmp from crashing
but ... it still doesn't play the FLAC files.
These FLAC files were

WinAmp3 Plugin
Thanks. Is there anything that we can do? I can't seem to
find the source to the plug-in. Maybe I'm looking in the
wrong place?

[Flac-users] Winamp3 plugin built in debug mode?
I just tried installing the flac plugin for Winamp 3, and Winamp reports
that, "This application has failed to start because MSVCRTD.dll was not
found." The fact that it's trying to link against MSVCRTD.dll rather
than MSVCRT.dll suggests that the plugin was built in debug mode; most
Windows installations won't have MSVCRTD.dll unless Visual Studio is
installed.

WinAmp3 & Icecast2 compatibility?
Hello folks
I'm having trouble playing ogg streams with WinAmp3. I run Icecast2 & Ices2
(both compiled from CVS about two weeks ago) on a Linux box, the files
being streamed were encoded with oggenc (from oggutils1.0, managed
80kbitrate...) The problem is that WinAmp3 won't actually play the .ogg
stream. When I give it the URL (http://myserver:8000/mount.ogg) it says

RedHat Linux 6.1, Samba, & DHCPD problems

Hi,
I've checked the archives, and didn't see anything relating to this:
I have a RH 6.1 fileserver running Samba (latest update from RH). I
have 3 computer plus a laptop on this network, all properly accessing
the Samba shares. The IP address for all of these systems are
statically assigned. Also, all of these systems automatically restore

Printer shares question
Hi,
I checked the archives, but couldn't find this question:
I have two printers set up on my RedHat Linux 6.1 box, called lp0 and lp1 (original, huh?). Anyway, I want both of these printers to be visible
and browsable on the network. I have the following relevant lines in my smb.conf file:
printcap name = /etc/printcap

solved: building icecast2 on OpenBSD
Icecast2 compiles on OpenBSD 3.2 with the steps outlined by Moritz (thanks for
that). I'm running into problems streaming ogg files from the fileserve
directory, although serving mp3 files from the same directory happens without a
hitch...again, both work fine on a Debian system. I'll try building the ogg and
vorbis libraries from source to see if that fixes anything (they are
