Tag Proposal -> Tag Standard
Alright. So, the tag proposal that has been labored over for some months has now been reclassified a bit. There new URL is now here: http://reactor-core.org/ogg-tag-recommendations.html And is prefaced by the following statement: "The following recommendations were developed by a community of Ogg/Vorbis users for their own use." I believe the implication is that this document

How can I run this in Wine
I am trying to run Soul of the Ultimate Nation on a macbook pro and im not sure how to get it to work. Can anyone help me out? Here are links to the websites. You have to install the reactor for the game and the reactor itself. I was able to install the reactor, but I wasn't able to sign in. Anyone have any hints? sun.ijji.com (this is the site for the game) www.ijji.com (those are the

Tag Recommendations Recommendations
Some suggestions for the recommendations on http://reactor-core.org/ogg-tag-recommendations.html: Add in a table of contents. Please. Rename the title to "Vorbis-style Comment Field Recommendations" (change capitalization to taste) to reflect that FLACs and Speex files could be tagged according to this recommendation. Do note that not just Ogg (or, for that matter, .ogg) files can use

Comment fields don't like accents!
Anyone know, under Linux, how to get accents (hoping for u with an umlaut, for example) into a comment field? They're happily in the comment file I'm using as a source (or on the command line), but they get translated into # either when I do vorbiscomment -a or vorbiscomment -l (not sure which, but XMMS also sees # instead of the right char, which implies the first). title=Die Sch#ne

Ijji Reactor
Yo'z, new here and all, and rather weak in the knowledge department of linux/ubuntu and wine. I'm fairly sure i'm running the latest wine, i installed / updated wine and all that stuff about a month ago so yeah. I'm basically trying to use Ijji Reactor, but it won't let me sign in at all. I don't know how to get the wine log and all of that @_@;

Updated BCC projects
In response to requests, I've given my vorbis BCC projects a thorough cleaning. They are now much more professional, complete, and include a little documentation. Ogg Vorbis 1.0 ready! The new files are available here: http://dave.gasaway.org/vorbis/vorbis_bcc.zip At this time, they cannot compile with the free command-line tools available from Borland. If anyone can help make

RE: Hlp in finding a native Ogg trim, fade & nomalise tool
ReplayGain is not much good for FM broadcasting, and debatable for streaming too. There is a limit on the peak volume that can be broadcast on an FM signal so it is best to have a song volume of 100% broadcast with 100% FM deviation. If an average song volume is very low, for example, but has some loud peaks in it, ReplayGain will increase the volume to the extent that the peaks will be way too

oggdec in cvs?
I downloaded a nightly CVS tarball about a week ago. It contains an oggdec tool in vorbis-tools. However, I don't get this tool when I checkout / update from CVS. Divide by zero in accumulate_fit
Hi, Lately, my oggenc builds (from CVS) haven't been running correctly. In a few debugging sessions, I've found that I'm getting a divide by zero exception. The exception happens in accumulate_fit (floor1.c), line 455: int weight=nb*info->twofitweight/na; Here is the call stack: accumulate_fit floot1_fit mapping0_forward vorbis_analysis oe_encode main The
