Some problems with WinVC 1.0
I have downloaded WinVC 1.0 onto a Windows XP machine with an AMD 450 MHz processor and 256 MB of RAM. I converted an entire CD ripped with EAC to Ogg Vorbis format with the attached DOS batch file, and the tag info looks perfect in Winamp's latest ogg vorbis plug-in. However, after opening any created Ogg file in WinVC, the track # field contains a part of an custom tag that I added through

WinVorbis v1.0 released (renamed from WinVC)
WinVC has been renamed to WinVorbis as it is no longer just a comment editor. WinOgg is apparently taken! It now supports encoding from WAV files via OggEnc.exe. Unfortunately there is no progress indication per file. See the Options form for encoding options. I have added my own super-fast routine for reading comments & file info. It is limited to single stream ogg files only. See the

WinVC - Multiple file tag editor!

automake 1.6 compatability patch
This patch cleans up the vorbis-tools Makefile.am files so they work with both automake 1.4 and 1.6. Some changes to configure.in were also needed in order to get things to work (and to fix some ac 2.50 issues). Please remove config.h from cvs as it is a generated file and empty anyway. automake 1.6 isn't really incompatable with 1.4, it's just more picky about you sticking to the rules:

ogginfo: playlength display in milliseconds
Hello Some time ago I posted a lil' patch to this list which adds milliseconds display of playlength to ogginfo. Some folks replied that it's plausible and this patch will be merged to the next version. Vorbistools-1.0.1 got out and the patch is not in it. Why? Anyway, here's this patch for vorbistools-1.0.1. I hope this time you will include it, because milliseconds support is

What tags are allowed in ogg files?
Hi, I'm writing a tag-editor for ogg files. What tags, besides ogg-tags, are allowed in ogg files (if any). I'm thinking of id3v1, id3v2, ape tags and so on. I have a (probably small) problem with writing a new "comment header". I have tried opening a file with a valid header, and then simply moved some of the comment tags position, so that the total size and the count still

Patch for bitrate information in ogginfo
With this patch, ogginfo will display bitrate information (upper/lower/nominal/average bitrate). It is patched against today's CVS code (main branch). I am also working on true VBR support in oggenc (the user can specify the minimum & maximum bitrate) and will send a patch when it's done. <HR NOSHADE> <UL> <LI>application/x-gzip attachment: ogginfo-diff.gz

Proposal: enhance ogginfo to not verify whole stream
Hi, I'm using ogginfo a lot to get the comments section on the terminal. However ogginfo always verifies (reads) the whole stream to print some more information. I'd like to see an additional option that does just print the comments efficiently. For a player connected via USB 1, that would clearly make a difference. (I have a Perl script that renames files based on the comments, and I

Odd broken oggs ...
I have a CD ripped with RC2, ogginfo from 1.0 claims they are all "broken". ogg123 also goes a little wild with them. I'll experiment a little more, maybe play with xmms, etc. RC3's ogginfo do not see anything wrong with them... an example: ---------- ogginfo 1.0 New logical stream (#1, serial: 2aab0567): type vorbis Vorbis headers parsed for stream 1, information follows...

save() object w/o all of the loaded environment
I have two packages, one that does the actual work (SC) and the other a Tcl/Tk UI (SCUI) that invokes methods within the former. Within the SCUI's invocation method, I save an object returned from SC, the results of a long-running method. Now the object is completely described by the SC package. Unfortunately, any attempt to load the object (in a fresh R session) fails as below. R>

MSG: sequence number gap
Hi, I have created a chained Ogg Vorbis file containing 26 files in 75304323 bytes using the Unix 'cat' utility. When I run the file through 'ogginfo' I get the message: Warning: sequence number gap in stream 26. Got page 0 when expecting page 9. Indicates missing data. This is what I have determined: * When I run each of the component files through

Fixed size permutations
I'm using functions to return a matrix of all permutations of a specified size from a larger list for predictor selection. For each predictor size I use a seperate function like this: bag2 <- function(n) { rl <- c() for (i1 in seq(n)) { for (i2 in seq(n)) { if (length(unique(c(i1,i2)))==1) {next} rl <- cbind(rl,matrix(c(i1,i2))) } }
