Some problems with WinVC 1.0
I have downloaded WinVC 1.0 onto a Windows XP machine with an AMD 450 MHz processor and 256 MB of RAM. I converted an entire CD ripped with EAC to Ogg Vorbis format with the attached DOS batch file, and the tag info looks perfect in Winamp's latest ogg vorbis plug-in.
However, after opening any created Ogg file in WinVC, the track # field contains a part of an custom tag that I added through

WinVC v1.11 released (bug fix for Europe)
European users that use a comma as a decimal point were experiencing a
BSOD (blue-screen-of-death) using the new OggInfo.exe support. This was
due to OggInfo.exe returning a period (.) in numbers regardless of
windows regional settings.

A new tab has been added to show ogg information including duration &
bitrates, providing OggInfo.exe is available.
Also, 1 or 2 minor bugs fixed.

WinVorbis v1.0 released (renamed from WinVC)
WinVC has been renamed to WinVorbis as it is no longer just a comment
editor. WinOgg is apparently taken!
It now supports encoding from WAV files via OggEnc.exe. Unfortunately
there is no progress indication per file. See the Options form for
encoding options.
I have added my own super-fast routine for reading comments & file info.
It is limited to single stream ogg files only. See the

WinVC - Multiple file tag editor!

It's in Delphi 5. I will make the source code available when I'm happy with
it, if anyone wants it.

Initially I've designed the interface for the 95% of users who just want
something very simple and can see the tags they are interested in on one
form. I may add an

repeated measurements and lme
I am trying to do a repeated measurement anova using an lme. I have the

    -VCL, the response variable
I tried the following in R,

0x0d 0x0a in comment field contents
Hello Vorbis developers' list!

If I understand correctly, Vorbis comment field specification enables
the use of any standard UTF-8 sequence in the field contents. I.e.
0x0D 0x0A as well. The Nullsoft Vorbis plugin, for example, will
happily let you enter "enter"s into the COMMENT field.
I know that at least VorbisExt is broken in this regard, but probably
other front-ends needs

rc2 clipping bug
Hello vorbis-developers,
I found that the start of "Patrick Bruel: Trois ans et demi d'amour"
causes a serious clipping artifact (~ a tenth second long) in the left
channel. It happens with oggenc and oggdrop too, but only in the 128,
160 and 192 kbps modes.
I have uploaded a FLAC-encoded sample to

Sorry if this has been solved

Oggdrop issue
Hello all,
When I drag the Oggdrop window and pull it around, it disappears from
my desktop - it's still visible on the tray, though.
Anybody else noticed that?
(I'm using RC2 oggdrop from vorbis.com, under Win2K SP2)

Overlaying a single contour from a new data array in levelplot
Dear R-Help community,
I am trying to overlay a single contour line over a correlation plot using
levelplot in the lattice package. These are the two arrays:
1) a correlation plot over Africa - so each grid square is a different colour
dependent on correlation - this is in an array: result_cor with dim[465,465]
2) a single contour line from a ***different data source*** - this is from data

fake stereo
Hello all,
I created today a fake stereo piece of music (the left and right
channels were completely equal), and encoded it with the all the modes
the RC2 encoder supports, and found that:

mode * joint * stereo * in * in % * *

E100P configuration
Hi !
I am trying to configure two E100P cards, but I am a bit confused with
zapta.conf in what I am trying to achieve.
The * will be connected to a pstn switch with two E1 PRI lines. The E1 lines
will be used for incoming calls as well as outgoing calls.
My problem now is what to put in zapta.conf, I would like to group all
channels from both cards together (if that's possible). Does this

LAME guys are making improvements, too

it seems that at least some of the points that make OGG Vorbis
superior to MP3 will be eliminated (I still prefer OGG :)

You can't. Winelib still requires Wine to run it. It's a library not an executable. If you want to write native Linux application that can run by itself

codebook training
Hi,
I try to build codebooks for Vorbis at sampling frequencies other than 32/44/48 KHz.
As the first step, I started with residual codebooks. I generated training data on a one minute long 44 KHz audio, using Vorbis compiled with the TRAIN_RES define. I think
it worked fine, it generated .vqd files for me.
Then I compiled ResVQTrain, which complied OK. Then I run it on the previously
