xmms vorbis titlestring patch
Hi,
I managed to patch the xmms vorbis plugin to allow specifying
arbitrary tagnames to be displayed in xmms' titlestring as well as
conditional tag displaying.
You can get the patch (against cvs) from here
http://www.uni-jena.de/~p6best/comp/diffs/xmms-cvs_vorbistitle.diff.gz

xmms titlestring patch for vorbis
Hello,
Some time ago I developed a patch for xmms' vorbis plugin, that
allows using arbitrary comment fields in the titlestring.
Although it works quite well, I think it could be polished a bit and
it might even have some bugs. I also want to know, what the
xmms-developers think about it.
Recently, I included some kind of an 'advanced' tag editor. For now,
this has to be enabled at

xmms titlepatch -- update
Hello,
I have updated my titlestring patch for xmms. It now includes some
kind of an 'advanced' tag editor. For now, this has to be enabled at
compile time by defining VORBIS_ADV_EDIT, for more details, read the
readme (see below).
You might need a recent cvs-checkout of xmms, maybe it also applies
against a release version but that is untested.

New xmms vorbis plugin
I've written an updated xmms vorbis plugin, which is currently available from
the vgplay cvs as a file tree and patch:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/cvs/?group=vgplay
(Once some file area problems are sorted, I'll put the patch there for easier
access).
It's a patch or Input/vorbis tree for xmms 1.2.8 and includes the following
features:

IMAP shows forwarding and vacation files
Hello,
I'm migrating our mailserver from a linux machine to solaris and got
some small problems with our forwarding and vacation files, which are
stored in the maildir of each user.
I'm now using 2.0.15, on the old machine there was a dovecot 1.
Now the problem is, that the .forward and .vacation files, which are
used by exim, are shown as folders (they have a point...) in imap lists.

Antw: Export R output to Word/RTF?
I am using SWord from statconn: http://rcom.univie.ac.at/download.html
It allows you to put r-commands into Word (similar to odfWeave). Output
is directed to Word including figures and tables. It is still a
beta-version but works fine.

Antw: odfWeave Error
Hi,
I am using 7-zip for unzipping (http://www.7-zip.org/). Then
odfWeaveControl needs to be set to
odfWeaveControl(zipCmd=c("c:/programme/7-zip/7z a -tzip
$$file$$","c:/programme/7-zip/7z x $$file$$ -aoa")) -> control
where 'c:/programme/7-zip/' is the path to my 7-zip installation.
You can then use control to set the control-parameter in odfWeave.

cat(..., append=TRUE) on sftp share
Dear R-SIG-Debian Team,
r-devel sent me to you.
Situation:
Ubuntu 16.04, R-3.3.1, and a file in a folder mounted with sftp via
gnome virtual file system.
for(i in 1:10){cat(i,file =
"/run/user/1001/gvfs/sftp:host=server/path on server/test2",append = TRUE)}
gives a file that reads |10| and not |12345678910|

replacing elements of vector through elements of another vector
Hello everybody,
I hope this question is not too silly but I'm almost going crazy about
that and could not find a solution.
I have two variables, say A and B and I would like to combine them in C.
In particular I want a C-value of B when B is not NA and the A value in
case that B is NA:
A B C
2 NA 2
3 4 4
NA 3 3
4 1 1
2 NA 2
1 4 4
NA NA NA
5 3 3
4 1 1

Command completion of the R binary / Ubuntu
Dear Deepayan and dear list,
I notice a small inconsistency with the command completion of the R CMD
check. --no-latex is deprecated sincs R 2.12.0 and defunct since 2.13.0
but the command line completion still suggests it:
cb at cbdesktop:~/r-devel$ bin/R CMD check --no-<here I hit tab>
--no-clean --no-examples --no-latex --no-vignettes
--no-codoc --no-install

plot axis appearance problem
Hello,
When I plot any data with simple plot command in
R, for example :-
plot(time,co2,ylim=c(350,380),xlim=c(1993,2003),xlab=NA,ylab=NA,type="p",col=5)
Then the first value of x-axis(350) and
y-axis(1993) never starts from origin, always they
sifted from the origin. Is there any command that
I can correct this in the ploted figure and both
the axis values start from origin.
