That's great to hear. Is there anyone I can talk to about it who is more involved with the decision making process? It would honestly take little effort I think, and I know that lots of useres are requesting it (I get 5-10 emails about it a week at least). Probably the biggest request from our users, is for Ogg Vorbis support in the Nomad line of products. I'm willing to do whatever I

Ogg Vorbis + Hardware
Hello, I'm undergoing a project in which I'm researching the viability of different portable audio formats for implementation in hardware. I have owned, for a number of years, Creative's Nomad II MG portable MP3 player, and recently posted several messages asking about Ogg Vorbis support on this product line. Amongst flames and miscellanous trivia, somebody from Creative actually

Vorbis transcoding for Creative Nomads
Forwarding a conversation with a company that provides a management tool for transcoding Vorbis files to MP3 when communicating with the Nomad Jukeboxes from Creative. Good initiative, and probably sounds OK too, but would be even better with FLAC, so I'll ask about it. winbind: How to map windows admin-user to Linux root ?
Hi, Is there any way that I can map window AD admin-user to Linux root user (uid=gid=0) ? I noticed that windows Active-Directory users can use "idmap [uid-range]" to map to Linux users, but the idmap uid-range doesn't include '0'. e.g. idmap uid = 10000-20000 idmap gid = 10000-20000 Thanks! DNS backend SAMBA_INTERNAL name resolution through VPN
Hi, My problem is about DNS names resolution in case there are two DNS servers separated by a VPN and one DNS domain name. Context: two Samba AD DC on each side of the VPN, one forest, one domain, one site, two subnets. Note that this target configuration is not yet operational since I'm trying to make the DSN names resolution work first through the VPN. The DNS servers are Samba internal

Fwd: [EXTERNAL] SNMP shutdown timing out
Is anyone using snmp-ups with the -k option successfully? This is really starting to look like a bug somewhere in nut, not a config problem. I've just tried the same command from a FBSD box with the same unfortunate result. Mind you, it could be the UPS card, I'm using the same one for both tests. : || nomad at castle nut-2.7.4 [93] ; please drivers/snmp-ups -a nutdev1 -x

NUT control of vCenter & vServer?
That's certainly on the list of options. I'm doing data gathering right now to see what options there are. I'd prefer not to rashly decide to run off in a direction only to discover this is already a Solved Problem. nomad On Thu, May 14, 2020 at 1:13 PM Bart J. NUT control of vCenter & vServer?
Thanks Bart. Unfortunately "The VIB module does not comply with the security recommendations imposed by VMWare. You lose VMWare support by installing this package." This pretty much rules out this option. :( We need vCenter support, as well. nomad On Thu, May 14, 2020 at 10:06 AM Bart J. Re: Incredimail....Need help/ideas to get it running
I get a bit different messages. When I run IncMail.exe or ImApp.exe I get a window, visible on the screenshot (http://omploader.org/vMThjMg), that says: "Error: failed to create Message Store." To get to this point I used winetricks to install ie6, flash, msvc2005 and wininet. Output of IncMail.exe: Code: szczerb at nomad ~ $ wine .wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/IncrediMail/bin/IncMail.exe

[EXTERNAL] thoughts on tripp lite Smart Online UPSs?
Thanks. I haven't used that unit specifically with Network UPS Tools, but have used similar (from a protocol perspective) units. I'm working remotely for a while, but on the off chance I get into the position to connect a unit via USB, what Operating System are you using? If the opportunity arises, I can try to set up a basic test. Thank you, David Zomaya Business/Quality Analyst-

question about gamm models
Dear R-Users, I have a question concerning mixed models in R. The strata of my model are the counties of Germany. The differencies between these counties should be modelled as realizations of a normally distributed random variable X. Moreover, the model contains a 0/1 variable A that enters as a fixed effect. The only special feature that should be additionally in the model is the following:
