HipZip support?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hello vorbis,
I know that hipzip/Dadio support was planned - does anyone have any
idea what the status of this is due to iomega's discontinuing of the
Hipzip product line?
Is there any way we can add ogg support to our hipzip's in the
future if Interactive Objects adds it to Dadio ?

portable vorbis players
Has anyone done a portable vorbis player yet?
Is the SA-1100 fast enough to do vorbis decoding? What are some embedded
boards that are fast enough currently?

***SPAM*** pre-echo preventing
Hi!
Dear all
I compressed an audiu(wave) with libvorbis1.1.1 and found that the pre-echo was longer
than the one which was compressed with MP3 at the same bitrate(128kbps),I am now
confused aboout the pre-echo preventing scheme.
Can you tell me what method does Ogg Vorbis adopt besides the auto windowsize switch?
Looking forward to your letter!
Thank you!

Argh, preecho mistriggers
In case people on the list don't know it, A Vorbis tester (who's email I've
lost! If you're on the list, speak up!) is maintaining a vorbis audio quality
test page:
http://hem.passagen.se/ingets1/vorbis.htm
He's doing us the great service of hunting down samples that break Vorbis (so
we don't have to :-)
In any case, it turns out that the trumpets in the dr4 sample

portable ogg hardware update
Does anyone know of any updates in the portable ogg support category? How's the iRiver evaluation unit scenario working out (http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/hardware.html) ? Can I safely assume that any retail product being available by Christmas falls in to the "Snowballs chance in... a very warm place" category.
Also, I happen to be one of the (apparently) few people who purchased

Step-by-Step Tutorial: How to Setup Your Own e-Commerce Online Store using WooCommerce 3.4.5, Wordpress 4.9.8, and CentOS 1805 (LAMP) in Amazon AWS Cloud
Hi Jonathan,
Configuring SELinux is somewhat complicated, so I would usually set SELinux mode to permissive.

Low bitrate high-band coding...
Hi,
I'd like to contribute to Vorbis and I think this may be of some interest for
low bitrate coding. I have been experimenting with low bit-rate coding for the
high-band (11 kHz to 22 kHz) and, though I haven't yet started quantizing my
coefficients (a gain and an LPC filter), I expect to be able to approximate the
whole 11-22 kHz band with around 1000 bits/s per channel (maybe even 500

embedded vorbis players
Anyone know of any vorbis players more or less the size of an MP3 player -
something that will fit in a pocket? Or some projects to make one?
I'd be willing to work on putting one together and port vorbis to some
embedded processor. Any rough idea of what processor capabilities should
be needed for the number crunching (is an FPU necessary, 16/32 bit,
speed)? I realize the dev list might be a

I don't specifically mind tutorials being posted to the list .. BUT .. I
would like them to be in CentOS Namespaces. So either on
wiki.centos.org or blog.centos.org.

New transactional enterprise e-commerce web site
We are close to releasing a high-volume, multi-lingual, e-commerce
site in Ruby on Rails that has previously been written in an
alternative Java framework (e.g. servlets and JSP).
This is a real-time 24/7 betting and gaming web site based out of
Gibraltar in Europe.
When we embarked on this project, we really wanted to find examples of
other high-volume web sites that had adopted RoR. We did
