Ogg is great!! Tools: ffmpeg2theora, oggz
Hi, I just wanted to say that I've recently become a fan off the ogg movie format. I haven't really done much with video before, but I recently got a Canon DSLR which can record HD movies at 30 fps, 720p. The resulting files are great, but too large to share over the web. After trying a few different encoding tools, I quickly found that ffmpeg2theora is super easy to use, gives good

Bad results, encoding keynote presentation videos
Hello, hope you can help me. I want to encode a video, which I have exported from Keynote (a program for presentation like MS Power Point) using ffmpeg2theora for html5 web delivery. The result only plays very buggy - frames are dropped, the video hangs and vlc can not output the correct length of the ogv video. Here is the source and the result for download, if you want to reproduce it: the

I'm running Windows, and can't find binaries for liboggz tools, such as oggz-merge.exe Can someone provide oggz-merge.exe? Fwd: Vorbis-java wav-ogg encoder produces distorted OGG file
Hi, I was really interested in the java version of the same since I wanted to use it in my java application in a platform independent way. Anybody who have managed to use the java port to encode wav to ogg, this is only audio, can assist me to solve my problem. I have been looking at the code and the svn but no updates seem to be available. Some guidance on what could be the problem on the source

ffmpeg2theora: issue converting from a png image list
Hi Jan, all I am trying to generate a video introduction with a fade-in / fade-out effect. To do this with ffmpeg2theora only, I generated a list of PNG images: img001.png, img002.png... img299.png The ffmpeg2theora man page says: Encode a series of images: ffmpeg2theora frame%06d.png -o output.ogv That's exactly what I tried with the latest 0.24 release of ffmpeg2theora:

DVD NTSC video plays twice as fast when encoded with libtheora
https://roundup.ffmpeg.org/roundup/ffmpeg/issue1197 I had originally encountered this problem using ffmpeg2theora. I switched to ffmpeg proper in an attempt to identify where the problem was at, and found that the problem persisted. As a result I had thought this was a problem with ffmpeg, but the ffmpeg folks seem to indicate that this is specific to Theora (too much finger pointing I think.) I

Here's another problem I have with the 0.24 version of ffmpeg2theora. When I try to convert a h264 file to theora... Strange results encoding with latest ffmpeg2theora-0.24 and playback on Directshow through Winamp
Hi Folks, First, I would like to thank the eople in development who are doing so much to develope these great video and audio tools. I use Ogg Vorbis to store most of my music projects in studio and the results are stunning. Quite frankly, in the audio file reduction game, nothing beats Ogg Vorbis and I can personally say this from my own experience. So a huge thank you to the team. I've

Bad memory access in libtheora beta3
Hi, I didn't get to the bottom of it, but Valgrind is whining on libtheora when encoding a video to a 16 width or 16 height video. While you may think I'm weird for encoding to such a size, I didn't care about the output video, but I reckon it should work. The bad accesses seemed to be of pixel data, in FilterVert__c, and in FilterHorz__c (from memory), but I didn't investigate

Hello, Could you kindly point me to some instruction, how to encode demuxed files (.m2v and .mp2) to .ogg (Theora + Vorbis)? I was trying to use ffmpeg2theora, but I don't know, how to put two files to ffmpeg2theora (one audio an one video) and did not found, how to mux them into one file? Exist a way, how to do two pass encoding? I'm using Ubuntu Fiesty Linux. Thank you, Jiri Navratil

Batch Encoding in ffmpeg2theora
I've been doing some OGG Theora encoding with ffmpeg2theora and I can't seem to find a good explanation on how to batch encode with ffmpeg2theora. What do I need to type into the terminal to get ffmpeg2theora to take multiple input files and export multiple OGVs with the same settings? All of my attempts sofar have resulted in multiple files being converted into one OGV file :(

Further bug discovered with the Directshow decoder
Hi good people, Just to inform: I finally fed FFMpeg2Theora with a .VOB input, and the .OGV output produced played back beautifully in VLC, both audio and video. However, the same output .OGV file gave clicks and pops in the audio when fed through Directshow programs. I played it through Windows Mediaplayer as well as through Winamp, with the same crackles in the audio, and this leads me to

ffmpeg2theora 0.25 synchronization issues when converting from .mov
Has anyone noticed this? I have a video made with Final Cut Pro, which I convert to .mov via Compressor. This .mov file plays back fine in Quicktime. But when I then use ffmpeg2theora to convert to ogv, the video seems to play back too fast compared to the audio (I'm using VLC 1.0.2, the latest I believe, to play back the ogv file, and I also have an app that uses the recently

Problem with Chromium
Hello. I have made a ogv file for testing html5 video using ffmpeg2theora for Windows. It is available on http://wwsi.edu.pl/video/enigma.html and http://movies.wwsi.edu.pl/wwsi/small/enigma.ogv . It looks it works fine in Firefox, Opera for Windows, VLC, mplayer, ffmpegplay, some other Linux browsers. It fails in Chrome (and Chromium), the video looks very out of synchronization. I
