Simple Question : mozilla PFS service .
Hi I'm using a lot Itheora , the cortado / x-ogg wrapper that works like a charm. I was thinking that Java is great , but BTW why do we need Java if no x-ogg application handler are installed ? When i visit a page with flash the first time , plugin installed is only few clicks away, and I don't even care what software makes my flash application works. So I understood with

Theora vs MPEG vs H264
Hi all, I have to compare the theora codec with MPEG and H264. I was googling and I found that the PSNR is a common used parameter. How can I do this with Theora? Converting asterisk h264 recordings
Hello, We are setting up an asterisk system for voicemail with video possibilities. We are not using the voicemail app, but rather writing our own dialplan logic. The part of recording, and replaying, the voicemail works, and we receive both an h264 and an wav-file. What I now wonder is how to convert these into one file playable by a (standard) media player. I have not found any real good

Here's another problem I have with the 0.24 version of ffmpeg2theora. When I try to convert a h264 file to theora... (Note that for size and runtime reasons, foo.mts is a truncated file, I just took the first 32MB of the original file) ffmpeg2theora-0.24.linux32.bin foo.mts -x 1280 -y 720 -o foo-ffmpeg2theora-0.24.ogv Input #0, mpegts, from 'foo.mts': Duration: 00:00:15.83, start:

[PATCH 1/3] nv50: enable h264 and mpeg4 for nv98+ (vp3, vp4.0)
Create the ref_bo without any storage type flags set for now. The issue probably arises from our use of the additional buffer space at the end of the ref_bo. It should probably be split up in the future. Fwd: [Xiph] #1698: XiphQT for Mac would need a (silent) installer

Java and ogg/vorbis
I am a bit confused to how Ogg/vorbis works. This is my understand. Vorbis is an audio codec that can be used instead of MP3 and it is open source. If this is true, what is Ogg? I think it is some kind of wrapper that allows you to stream Audio and Video. Am I right? Also I want to encode short videos in Xvid and then encode the audio in vorbis. Then I want to stream this over the Internet

VP6 issues in Swfdec
Hi, I'm one of the Swfdec[1] Flash player developers. As you may be aware, Flash uses VP6 as a possible video decoder. Someone recently grabbed all of the videos at http://pown.alluc.org and threw them at ffmpeg. Surprisingly, lots of them killed the vp6 decoder and in turn my browser. I'll attached a series of patches for issues that I could fix myself, and point out issues I could not

Re: DSP stamp
Yes, the Theora codec is based on VP3, which is an earlier version of ON2's VP6 codec. Theora is currently at its alpha 3 release, and is stable enough to have been used already for streaming live video from a number of conferences, and for encoding several videos that can be found at www.theora.org. Development has progressed to the point that the value of the codec can be seen. That

8K HEVC decoding with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
Hi all, I have developed an Android VR player, which supports 4K video playback so far. I want to include the support for 8K video. The current Snapdragon 845 mobile platform supports up to 4K video playback, which lacks the support for my requirement. So I choose Android-x86 as my platform for development, which is Android OS runs on Intel x86 architecture. I've tried to play 8K(7680*3840)
