Theora dll in debug mode
Hi everybody.
I have a problem using Theora in a specific way. I am going to explain that.
I have downloaded ogg codecs for Windows on the Theora website. More precisely
there are DirectShow Filters. I try to use Theora codec in a commercial
application and the application crash. It doesn't with another codec like XviD,
so the problem may be Theora codec.
Note that I can use Theora outwards

Newbie theora questions
Learned Theora types,
I'm trying to build the theora source code using Visual Studio 2005. I'm
running into some problems that I'd like to ask if anyone else has
encountered and successfully defeated.
First, I've managed to successfully build libOOTheora and libtheora by
finding and building all the libraries they depend on. Now I'm trying to
build the decoder filter,

Some oggdsf utilities and libraries now available on UNIX
Hi all,
(This has been cross-posted to vorbis-dev and ogg-dev, since I thought
various people on vorbis-dev may be interested in it.)
I've been working with illiminable for the past few weeks to port the
underlying, platform-neutral part of his DirectShow filters (oggdsf) to
UNIX. While DirectShow is a Windows-specific media framework,
illiminable's filters have been designed so

Theora with DirectX earlier than 9
Hello,
I'm trying to use Theora video codec with DirectX 8 and DiretX 7. The
problem seems to be out format of Theora decoder wich is YV12 and
incompatible with DirectShow Video Renderer Filter.
Do you know a filter able to convert YV12 to RGB, usable in a
commercial application ? May I have to make such a filter myself ?
Is is said in the README file of oggdsf archive :

Guadec 2005 and DirectShow Filters
Hello all,
I have been trying to play the Guadec Theora files (
http://stream.fluendo.com/archive/6uadec/ )
on Windows with no success. At first I thought it was just the machine
which I was trying it on, but I now have seen another machine play other
Theora files (Systm, Ubuntu Below Zero) without problems, but treat
Guadec as just being audio files. I do also have another machine here

Samba Permission Combination Conflict And Priority
Hi,
I am a samba new user. When a share for user has one permission, it is OK. When a share for user has permission combination, there is something different in my thought.
In Linux user system, a user can belong to multiple groups. For example:
The user (uf) belongs to multiple groups (g_full and g_read)
[root at node-107-174 /]# id 1017
uid=1017(uf) gid=1017(g_full)

"$<-" fails (invalid subscript type 'language')
This might be just beyond of my understanding of how assignment works in R, but
the documentation does not say anything about:
> tv <- c(a="dsf", b="sss")
> tl <- list(232)
> `$<-`(tl, tv[[1]], "sdfdsfdsfsd")
Error: invalid subscript type 'language'
This happens even before the method is dispatched. I can not handle the
"name"

Question: image_tag(source, options = {})
image_tag(source, options = {})
Ok, when I want to use an image I added the following code:
<%= image_tag "dsf.jpg" options = {[align="right", style="padding-right:
10px; padding-top: 5px;"]} %>
However, this doesn''t seem to work, it doesn''t like how I have the
"options" part setup. I''m sure there is something very easy

[LLVMdev] eclipse and gdb
Hi,
I am using Eclipse to edit the files, and I used it to debug with gdb as
well (but I went back to gdb on the command line, Eclipse GDB UI is just
too slow and buggy for me ..).
You need to exclude the clang preprocessor/.. stress tests from the
sources, otherwise the indexer will freeze Eclipse. You should also
remove some autogenerated CMake project subdirectories, otherwise your

set dataframe field value from lookup table
Hi
This is (hopefully) a bit more cogent phrasing of a previous post. I'm
trying to compute a z-score to rows in a large dataframe based on values in
another dataframe. Here's the script (that does not work). 2 questons,
1) Anyone know of a more elegant way to calculate the "rounded" age value
than the nested ifelse's I've used?
2) how to reference the lookup table
