Solaris Install Inconsistency (Portable Release)
hello Openssh developers, i am administrating a Solaris Network and installed the openssh2.5.2p2 server on one mashine, the clients network-wide. I had a problem with sftp and solved it, but maybe it is at least worth mentioning in the faq: By default, the sftp subsystem is commented out in the sshd_config. Simply removing the comment does not work because the path of the sftpd executable is

[LLVMdev] Using clang/LLVM to build Linux C++ programs with no gnu licensed libraries.
Today the clang/LLVM based ELLCC compiler (http://ellcc.org) was able to compile an (almost) non-trivial C++ program for a bunch of LLVM supported targets with no gnu licensed libraries. http://ellcc.org/blog/?p=231 Next step: try to compile ELLCC with itself. :-) -Rich -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [Fwd: Re: Help a newbie pick a gui tool kit]
Hey Guys, This just came over the rubytalk list. Does anybody have any Debian experience? BTW, one thing this project *really* could use is people to package wxruby for <your distro here>. You don''t need SWIG/C++ experience for it, and a little work could help a lot of people. Nick -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: Help a newbie pick a gui tool kit Date: Sun, 13

rsync deletes target files after source drive failure
Hi, I'm making backups using rsnapshot via cron jobs. Recently the source drive died. rsync wasn't able to read the source data and subsequently deleted the target directory. Here is part from the log: . . . /usr/bin/rsync -avi --delete --numeric-ids --relative --delete-excluded \ --stats --exclude-from=/redgum-backup/emiddel/rsync-excludes \ --rsh=/usr/bin/ssh xxx at yyy:/srcdir

Help getting The Longest Journey to run.
Hi, The game (http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?appId=1937) currently won't run on Wine -- it gets into the main menu screen, but crashes when you want to start. I have access to the source code for this game, but virtually no experience with Wine. If someone wants to make the game run, I can help out with that, answer questions about it, look at source, etc. or even make patches.

Hi all, we are happy to announce the new test-release of chan_sccp. The Cisco 7920 support is working now, however, some call handling stuff is hardcoded for testing. Also some more in-deep-knowledge of Skinny was archieved, how they handle calls. Please test it with your 7940/7960 and 30VIP and report any problems using our bug tracking tool. The latest tarball is available at:

mod_perl and httpd2
I've got httpd and mod_perl installed, but I seem to have an application that requires part of mod_perl that doesn't seem to be properly installed into perl, notably, the 'Apache' portion. To 'fix' this, cpan would like to install either mod_perl-1.29, or alternatively to install mod_perl-2.0.2. 1.29 doesn't seem smart, and 2.0.2 absolutely will not install over the

GNU Lesser General Public License gurus or WineHQ contact
Did you check out that iPhone SDK keynote? It makes me want to sell software. Do any of you GNU LGPL gurus understand the license http://www.winehq.org/site/license to know if we can distribute Wine to run our MS Windows executable? I'm sure it's something basic (for a license groker). I'm not linking with Wine, I just want to install it on the iPhone (if Apple allows it through
