I believe splayer is only intended to be a Win32 executable. Note that it is in a directory

Ogg Theora files player
Hello,
I try to compile player_example.c from http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/theora/libtheora-1.1.1.zip in Visual Studio 2008 on Windows XP.
I built and added to the project libogg-1.3.0, libtheora-1.1.1, libvorbis-1.3.2 (http://www.xiph.org/downloads/) and SDL-1.2.15 (http://www.libsdl.org/release/SDL-devel-1.2.15-VC.zip).
When I compile player_example.c Visual Studio shows:

Status of Windows Theora builds
Hi all,
Just a heads up to let you know that I've fixed up the Visual C++
project files so that libtheora and the associated experimental programs
(dumpvid/encoderwin/splayer/transcoder) builds on Windows again. I also
have good news and good news.
The bad news is: experimental\splayer doesn't work. It compiles, but
segfaults immediately when you try to play any Ogg file. The bug

will there be theora_decode_RGBout() ?
hi folks!
i would like to know whether there will be some function to decode to some plain 24 bit RGB buffer in the future.
i think this feature is sometimes important, especially when using different surface layers, or when modifying
the buffer in realtime.
if this feature will definitely not be, could someone tell me how i can convert to some RGB buffer in realtime?

can't get to work windows player
Hi! I'm having some trouble with theora in windows, I would really appreciate if you could be able to give me a hand with this.
First, I was not able to build theora in cygwin, because I built vorbis and ogg perfectly, but when I try to run ./configure with theora it can't find the ogg libs, if I use the --using-ogg-path = ... with /usr/local/lib it runs ok, but then it fails to compile

problems understanding yuv_buffer format
hi folks!
once again i am trying to decode a yuv_buffer to a 24 bit RGB buffer.
last time nobody seemed willing to tell me how to do this, so i am
trying again.
i try to make my questions more simple. what i need to know is:
how many bytes are in each y, u, v array?
what for are these strides?
what exactly is a "plane" in a frame, and what does it do?
what i want to achieve is

hi,
ok. i am pretty new to this list, but there seems to be little activity
at all.
first of all, here is a screenshot:

buddy list in my jabber client (java based).
I have a simple (or not so simple) task to achieve:
stream the video from one end through the jabber server to another end
and show the stream in my buddy

Creating histograms from factors using a for loop
# I have a dataframe with data and factors similar to the following:
a <- rep(c("a", "b"), c(6,6))
df <- data.frame(f=a, d=rnorm(12))

# I am trying to write a 'for' loop which will produce a jpeg histogram
for each factor. I can individually isolate the data from a factor and
produce a jpeg histogram like so:

Aspect ratio question
Hi,
despite the warnings on the website ;-) I played with the current CVS
source of theora on Windows 2000 w/ Microsoft Visual C++. The codec and
the "experimental" example programs compiled fine. I also encoded a 33
MB MPEG2 (?) video (3 minute trailer) to a 14 MB .OGG using "mplayer -vo
yuv4mpeg -ao pcm" and the "encoderwin" sample program, and play it with

release priorities
So, release priorities. I have all of derf's proposed bitstream changes
accounted for in the reference encoder, if not supported in the decoder.
These are going to be released as alpha 3 to get the new bitstream
changes out for wider testing while we work on spec and implementations
of the extensions. The remaining issue is the broken buffering in
splayer. I'll take care of that

setting position for draggables?
Hi list,
how can I set the top and left CSS properties for draggable divs? When I modify the properties directly, the DIV jumps to its old position when I start to drag it.
Thanks in advance!

multiple winbind w/ common backend?
I'm successfully running multiple Samba 3.0.14a hosts as Domain Member Servers with winbind (default TDB backend) against a single AD domain. However, the Un*x uids and gids for the AD accounts are created by winbind as it comes across them, so they're not necessarily in sync between the Un*x hosts (although in the same configured range), thus violating good practise.
Is there a way to

Re Centos 7.2 Repos
Hi All,
I am having a terrible time installing multi media tools
like smplayer (which requires mplayer), which is not avaiable
from the centos repos.
I have installed epel.repo which containa the epel-release repo info
for yum
Still I cannot install many things.
For example, I ran

only one external ip
Hi,
I am running xen 2.0 for some days now on a local network and it''s running fine :)
Every virtual server on my host gets it''s own IP address.
But now, I am wondering if it''s possible to run xen on a hosted root server with only one ip address.
Lets say I have a domain ''domain.org'' that points to my host, on which xen is running.

Counting observations of a combined factor
#I have a dataset with two factor. I want to combine those factors into
a single factor and count the number of data values for each new factor.
The following gives a comparable dataframe:

b <- rep(c("c", "d"), c(6,6))
df <- data.frame(f1=a, f2=b, d=rnorm(12))
