Error in Spec of theora ident header
While trying to find a bug in my encoder, i came across an error in the spec where it defines the structure of the ident header... the spec defines 100 extra bits which aren't actually in the headers... NSBS, NMBS and NBS don't appear in a 3 2 0 header... the actual structure is as follows //0 - 7 header ident (8 bits) //8 - 55 theora ident (48 bits) //56 - 63 ver major (8

'cancel-tcpip-forward' is not supported.
Hi there, I'm developing ssh client in pure java and, recently, I'm trying to improve the port forwarding support on that stuff. However, it seems to me that sshd of OpenSSH has not supported 'cancel-tcpip-forward' request. http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-secsh-connect-17.txt says that | A port forwarding can be cancelled with the following message. |

signal forwarding support
Hi, I have a question about signal forwarding support in sshd of OpenSSH. http://www.openssh.org/txt/draft-ietf-secsh-connect-15.txt says that |4.9 Signals | | A signal can be delivered to the remote process/service using the | following message. Some systems may not implement signals, in which | case they SHOULD ignore this message. | | byte SSH_MSG_CHANNEL_REQUEST

Possibility of implementing signal support from post in 2003?
Hi, Back in 2003 the developer of JSch, a Java SSH2 implementation, posted a thread regarding support for sending signals to remote processes here: http://marc.info/?l=openssh-unix-dev&m=104295745607575&w=2 The thread culminated in a patch provided by Markus Friedl, which Atsuhiko Yamanaka tested and reported as working (unofficially), which added support for this capability in the

Comments in speex files
Hi, I'm helping with the development of abcde ("a better cd encoder") and have a request about a new speex feature. Support for speex was implemented a few weeks ago, but we still have little problem. We try to separate encoding and tagging of tracks (to allow users to rip CDs offline and when going online tag, rename and move the encoded tracks), but te comments in speex files can

AMD64 bug
The theora_unpack_comment casts a pointer-to-int to pointer-to-long. This is incorrect on AMD64, where ints and longs are of different size. On my system (Debian unstable, gcc 4.1) this causes players to crash when they reach the end of a movie. The patch below fixes this bug. --- libtheora-0.0.0.alpha7/lib/toplevel.c 2006-06-13 00:57:36.000000000 +0200 +++ libtheora-pdw/lib/toplevel.c

Identification Header
Hi, While creating identification header in the function * theora_encode_heade*r in *encoder_toplevel.c*, it assigns bits not mentioned in the current theora spec released on Octomber 29, 2007 (page 40 &41). But this implementation in function* theora_encode_heade*r is correct according to the *Figure 6.2 (page 42)*. But not according to the *table mentioned in pages 40 &

More Missing Pieces
Hi, I am making good progress on understanding, documenting, and re-implementing VP3. I have found some more deadwood in the decoder code and I just wanted to verify that it really has no place: * Version 3.3 tables: There are 2 sets of VLCs: One for v3.1 and one for v3.3. The v3.1 set is always selected. Are the v3.3 tables in production, or will they ever be? * DC Search Points: VP3

Having a problem with choose.files
I am relatively new to R, and am having a problem with the following snippet of code, and I do not at all understand why it is behaving this way. I am running Windows XP, with R 2.12.1. I copy and paste these 4 lines into the R Console: t<-c("a","b","c") ans<-select.list(t) txtNBS<-winDialogString("NBS","300") choose.files() I

encoder observation
Hello! First of all a question: When you make the encoder tables (ie: mode_e.h) do you use the mapping0_forward function? Because you made the encoder tables, and after this you did a minor correction in the final beta4 ... (this correction was: additional[0]=fabs(additional[0]*scale); in the mapping0_forward function) (I see this was a bug, and the modification was correct, but this correction

Got a problem (BUG?)
Hi we run a util at work called 'bounds checker' and it came up with this little beauty: void oggpack_readinit(oggpack_buffer *b,unsigned char *buf, int bytes){ memset(b,0,sizeof(oggpack_buffer)); b->buffer=b->ptr=buf; b->storage=bytes; } Stack memory overrun: Copying 20 bytes to opb; Starting offset 0, destination size 4 bytes. This is in RC1 code base. Any ideas?

Coded Order vs Raster Order
Hey, I'm not sure which mailing list this belongs on most, please correct me if I'm on the wrong one. I'm working through the Theora spec and trying to build an implementation as I go along. I have a few questions that I couldn't quite work out from the spec or in any online information that I found. The first question I have is related to coded order vs raster order. I

Fwd: Merging jorbis upstream and the cortado jorbis fork back into one
Of interest to some on the list. Anyone familiar enough with Java to know how we go about detecting/using/incorporating an external Jorbis build into the Cortado jar ? Or are we supposed to download sources into our tree and build the whole ? ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Hans de Goede <hdegoede at redhat.com> Date: Thu, 04 Nov 2010 15:31:31 +0100 Subject: Merging jorbis
