PFIFO_DMA_PUSHER + Xen + NV30 + questions.
Hello,
I am kernel engineer working on PV-OPS kernel trying to get it work in Dom0
with an NVidia (NV30 right now) card.
But there are issues, such as that the
pv-ops kernel has a different understanding of memory (for details check
out: http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenPVOPSDRM).
I've fleshed out most of them (like GART had the wrong phys addresses,
ouch!), but the one that I am

[PATCH 1/3] drm/nv50: include vp in the fb error reporting mask
Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu>

Not 100% sure that this is needed, but BSP/MPEG are in the mask.

[PATCH] fifo/nv04: avoid ramht race against cookie insertion
Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu>
Cc: stable at vger.kernel.org
---
Ian Romanick reported a kernel crash that implicated this path in a null
pointer jump, which means that one of the function pointers had been nulled
out. Not sure if a race there would explain it, but maybe.
There is also questionable ramht usage in channv50 and various disp code. If
you think this is a

[PATCH] core: use vzalloc for allocating ramht
Most calls to nvkm_ramht_new use 0x8000 as the size. This results in a
fairly sizeable chunk of memory to be allocated, which may not be
available with kzalloc. Since this is done fairly rarely (once per
channel), use vzalloc instead.

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: don't hold spin lock while calling kzalloc with GFP_KERNEL
- 'joi' on irc pointed out that this triggers a BUG_ON, because kzalloc could
sleep.
- The irq handler should restore the value NV03_PFIFO_CACHES, but still it's
better if this stuff doesn't happen in the middle of fifo create context. I see
no reason in spin locking pgraph create context, it isn't activated at that
stage.
- Move and rename the lock after some discussion with

reproducible CACHE_ERRORS
Hi
I found a way to reliably reproduce PFIFO CACHE_ERRORS, but I don't see why.
How to reproduce them:
1) Run a couple of glxinfo loops - 3 is usually enough.
while [ true ]; do nvgl glxinfo >/dev/null 2>/dev/null; done
2) Run glxgears.
3) If you can't see it now, resize glxgears window or add more glxinfos.
Note: you need at least 2 CPUs.
Usually the error looks like this

[PATCH v2 4/4] drm/nouveau: gpu lockup recovery
Overall idea:
Detect lockups by watching for timeouts (vm flush / fence), return -EIOs,
handle them at ioctl level, reset the GPU and repeat last ioctl.
GPU reset is done by doing suspend / resume cycle with few tweaks:
- CPU-only bo eviction
- ignoring vm flush / fence timeouts
- shortening waits

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/fb/gf100-: Fix 32 bit wraparound in new ram detection
A missing u64 cast causes a 32-Bit wraparound from
4096 MiB to 0 MiB and therefore total 0 MiB VRAM detected
if card has 4096 Mib per FBP.

index-parse.c:1256:6: error: assuming pointer wraparound does not occur when comparing P +- C1 with P +- C2 [-Werror=strict-overflow]
No idea why this happens:
index-parse.y: In function 'yyparse':
index-parse.c:1256:6: error: assuming pointer wraparound does not occur when comparing P +- C1 with P +- C2 [-Werror=strict-overflow]
if (yyss + yystacksize - 1 <= yyssp)
^
It only happens on one machine, and not on any others, even
though they have similar versions of gcc and bison installed.

Domain ID wraparound bug?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi All,
We just experienced a very strange problem with Xen, and I''m wondering
if anyone else has experienced it.
We have a single host with three domUs - one is HVM, and the other two
are paravirt.
The HVM is a production environment, the paravirt are for demo/devel.
I stopped the devel domU, and when I restarted it, the HVM stopped

[PATCH V2] pmu/gk20a: PMU boot support.
- Maps PMU firmware into PMU virtual memory.
- Copy bootloader into PMU memory and start it.
- Allow the PMU to interact with HOST via interrupts.
PMU after successful configurations (to follow after this patch) will:
1.Autonomously power gate graphics engine when not in use.It will save
us a lot of power.
2.Provide better way to scale frequencies by reporting Perf counters.
3.Be critical for GPU

[PATCH 5/9] drm/nouveau: Add install/remove semantics for event handlers
Complete migration of nouveau_event_get/_put from add/remove
semantics to enable/disable semantics.
Introduce nouveau_event_handler_install/_remove interface to
add/remove non-local-scope event handlers (ie., those stored in
parent containers). This change in semantics makes explicit the
handler lifetime, and distinguishes "one-of" event handlers
(such as gpio) from "many
