9.2-RC1 laptop lid cover problem
Hello :-) On my Dell Latitude D620 I have a bla(c/n)k screen after I close display and open it again. I cannot use this machine anymore as it was working on plaintext console (no xorg). What should I do to make screen return after display is closed and opened again? Should I load apm module or something similar or is this the display driver problem? 6.0-REL problems with ISA ed0, FFS corruption and ancient hardware
[ Asked on -questions on Friday; re-asking now on -stable without cross-post] I recently upgraded a 4.11-REL machine to 6.0-REL and have run into some snags. While the installation from CD went fine, after configuring and enabling my ed0 NIC, bad things start to happen. FWIW, this machine is an ancient (hardware circa 1991, BIOS circa 1994) dual-Pentium 133 MHz machine, with EISA/PCI and

I have chosen to use confirmatory factor analysis to analyse this data set. Instrument The instrument consists of 11 subscales. There is a total of 68 items in the 11 subscales. Each item is scored on an integer scale between 1 to 4.

Various FreeBSD bits...
I just drudged through a bit of the archives and see a FreeBSD bits floating in there that are of some value, but aren''t on the wiki. I posted a few bits on the wiki regarding some FreeBSD cobbling that I''ve done recently and hope that folk find it of use (and start posting their useful bits there as well). http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/PuppetFreeBSD The

Cleaning up ‘br i1 false’ cases in CodeGenPrepare
Hi, I have come across a couple of cases where the code generated after CodeGenPrepare pass has "br i1 false .." with both true and false conditions preserved and this propagates further and remains the same in the final assembly code/executable. In CodeGenPrepare::runOnFunction, ConstantFoldTerminator (which handles the br i1 false condition) is called only once and if after the

[LLVMdev] StructLayout
I have a question. If the size of long is 8 on your x64 platform. Because the size of long is so different on different platform, sad it is. 2009/9/23, David Greene <dag at cray.com>: > How are bitfields handled in StructLayout? In LLVM 2.5 the > struct is unambiguously size by: > > StructSize += TD.getTypePaddedSize(Ty); // Consume space for this data > > In LLVM 2.6

Fonts screwed after preview
I'm using a Delphi 7 application that shows a report written in FastReport 4. Before opening the report, fonts are showed ok, as this screenshot shows: [Image: http://i45.tinypic.com/332bj7t.png ] After the report is previewed, app fonts are changed to this (boldened): [Image: http://i46.tinypic.com/de9qia.png ] The bolder fonts aren't the only problem, if I try to re-open the report,

[LLVMdev] spilling & xmm register usage
Hello everybody, I have stumbled upon a test case (the attached module is a slightly reduced version) that shows extremely reduced performance on linux compared to windows when executed using LLVM's JIT. We narrowed the problem down to the actual code being generated, the source IR on both systems is the same. Try compiling the attached module: llc -O3 -filetype=asm -o BAD.s BAD.ll Under

[LLVMdev] StructLayout
How are bitfields handled in StructLayout? In LLVM 2.5 the struct is unambiguously size by: StructSize += TD.getTypePaddedSize(Ty); // Consume space for this data In LLVM 2.6 it's getTypeAllocSize, which does the same thing. Unfortunately, this is not correct for bitfields. For example, LLVM reports this struct: typedef struct test1 { short f0 : 10; char f1 : 5; long f2 : 1;

[LLVMdev] Simplifing the handling of pre-legalize vector nodes
Right now there are special SelectionDAG node kinds for operations on "abstract" vector types (VLOAD, VADD, and all the rest), and a special MVT::Vector ValueType for them. These nodes carry two additional operands, constants which specify the vector length and element type. All of this is only used before legalize; then they are replaced with regular node kinds and value types. It
