temporary setups for ICEcast at festivals?
Hi :
I am new to ICEcast, and really am just starting to get to grips with the
ability of community radio, however I have a reason to look into the set up
process and concepts some more, while I work with people in the Pacific
region on using information communications technologies (ICT's) to empower
learning networks, the foundations of indigenous music, and communities
which have lots to

Fwd: cgroup OOM killer loop causes system to lockup (possible fix included)
Hi all,
Please find below a complete transcript of the emails between
debian/kernel-mm mailing lists.
I've had a response back from someone on the deb mailing list stating:
====================================
The bug seems to be that sshd does not reset the OOM adjustment before
running the login shell (or other program). Therefore, please report a
bug against openssh-server.

[LLVMdev] Please benchmark new x86 vector shuffle lowering, planning to make it the default very soon!
Hi Chandler,
I have tested the new shuffle lowering on a AMD Jaguar cpu (which is
AVX but not AVX2).
On this particular target, there is a delay when output data from an
execution unit is used as input to another execution unit of a
different cluster. For example, There are 6 executions units which are
divided into 3 execution clusters of Float(FPM,FPA), Vector Integer
(MMXA,MMXB,IMM), and Store

problem joining computer to domain
I cannot join my WinXP workstation computers to the Samba domain. Using
the Computer Name / Change on the XP computer gives me an error saying
that the username or password is incorrect - except very occasionally when
it works although I do nothing different!
I have noticed that on when it works there is a machine record set up in
LDAP with Samba data as follows:-

Clarion database
I'm running Samba (and will apply 2.2.1 now, since Clarion fails with it) as a PDC and as a Clarion database server.
What are the directions to configure Samba to be accessed by DOS running Clarion database?
Which are the main keys in smb.conf should I set?
Thank you.

[LLVMdev] LLVM-gcc for ARM
> What I am supposed to do next? you said that I have to recompile binutils with --with-sysroot option?
It is not an extra step. You have to add --with-sysroot to step 1.

Pacific General (1997) Runs extremely slow
Pacific General (1997), a direct X 3 game, runs extremely slow on my modern hardware under Ubuntu 7.10 with either an NVIDIA 8800GT or ATI X800GTO.
It obviously is not my system as the bottleneck. The entire game runs, however it is extremely slow when moving the mouse over any units, or when clicking on any units.
This could be sound related, or MouseOver API related, or both. My sound works

Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault Problems
I've noticed a couple problems running Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault under Ubuntu 10.04 using Wine 1.1.44 and I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix them.
1) The video is incredibly slow...it's similar to a fullscreen game running in a window (for lack of a better description), although I'm playing the game in fullscreen.
2) The mouse cursor remains present even after the game
