can't merge zoo ojects and convert to ts (been trying for 2 days)
I'm stuck, but am sure it can be done I just don't understand how.
I have data in an irregular timeseries. I want to be able to use stl to
visualise the data (see seasonal parts etc), so I need to change to regular
series of class ts (I think).
I am using 2 zoo objects one is regular and the other is my irregular data.
I am then merging to create the object I want but when I try to change

Do I need to use dropterm()??
Hello,
I'm having some difficulty understanding the useage of the "dropterm()"
function in the MASS library. What exactly does it do? I'm very new to R, so
any pointers would be very helpful. I've read many definitions of what
dropterm() does, but none seem to stick in my mind or click with me.
I've coded everything fine for an interaction that runs as follows: two sets

question about glm vs. loglin()
Dear R gurus,
I am looking for a way to fit a predictive model for a contingency table which has counts. I found that glm( family=poisson) is very good for figuring out which of several alternative models I should select. But once I select a model it is hard to present and interpret it, especially when it has interactions, because everything is done "relative to reference cell". This

survival analysis and censoring
In your particular case I don't think that censoring is an issue, at least not
for the reason that you discuss. The basic censoring assumption in the Cox
model is that subjects who are censored have the same future risk as those who
were a. not censored and b. have the same covariates.
The real problem with informative censoring are the covaraites that are not
in the model; ones that

OpenGL problem
I have "strange" warning in console, when running winecfg:
Code:
err:wgl:X11DRV_WineGL_InitOpenglInfo couldn't initialize OpenGL, expect problems
This is my new box with GeForce 8600 GT. Wine is 0.9.55, from winehq repositories. I have installed nvidia drivers. Error persist in Ubuntu 7.10 and Debian Etch. I want optimal video acceleration in order to test some games.
Any idea

How about add 3D-stereo-features in future?
I think this feature may be realesed more easly(because wine get all 3d-calls) than other programs like vrizer (now vrizer is dead).

IVT SCD support status
Rainer, Arjen
I was wandering around the code, and found that few things are missing
around the IVT code:
- no manpage,
- no entry in driver.list
- no device{mfr, model, type} in the code.
I was about to submit a patch to address the above (ready to commit), but
wanted first to get an update on the status. looking at the last thread,
it's a bit unclear... I'm also interested an upsc

[CENTOS ]IPTABLES - How Secure & Best Practice
Ned,
Thank you very much for the response.
Great example following through on the premise.
It sounds like I need to have a better understanding of the traffic
patterns on my network to know the optimal order for iptables
filtering rules.
My brief example -
Premise: I want to limit outsiders from interfering with LAN client machines.
So, I have the following rules regarding forwarding traffic:

civil emergency comms: Asterisk + HAM
The disaster in the Gulf coast and the less than optimal initial
response suggests to me that citizens must shoulder more responsibility
for emergency management. Communications loss must have played a large
role in the failures that occurred. I can't help but wonder if there
are fewer ham radio operators today and that if there were more, maybe
they could make a difference in future

Linksys SPA941
Dear Group,
I have just purchased two Linksys SPA941 and flashed these to the latest
firmware.
Everything works well except for the Hold button? Has anyone else
experienced the same issue? What was the solution?
Kind Regards

linux 2.6 closing connections
Hello list!
Are there any known issues regarding samba3 - linux 2.6 kernels? I'm getting
disconnects every 20 seconds or so, both via cifs and smbfs mounts. This
occurs regardless of whether the connection is in use and sometimes leads to
I/O errors (even doing 'ls' on a mounted dir). It is not consistent though,
and seems to be triggered by high network traffic. When it is

The 16.0 is a scaled version of the fixed (bogus) 24.0 V reading, similar to this unit:

Creating conference calls from within Astman.
Dear All,
I have a requirement to 'originate' a number of calls to various external
users from within a conference room, so that the end users does not pay for
the call.
I know that within Astman I can define an extension and then originate the
call from that extension. Can I define a conference room (how would I
configure that on astman? What channel would it use?) and then generate a

Asterisk Server Crashing with New Application
Dear All,
I have been running a successful and very stable call center PBX based on
0.7.1 release. I need to be on this release because of a number of features
that I have complied from 3rd party patches, for the call center. I will not
be able to upgrade to release 1 until the patches catch up and I have done
the required testing.
The system was very stable until two days ago.

Wine CD-ROM on Mac OS X
Can Wine access DVD-RW devices natively on Mac OS X like it can on Linux? I was using Wine in Linux to run ImgBurn and it worked great, but I recently switched to Snow Leopard and I don't know how to configure this.
I tried adding the Volume that was mounted by Finder. I tried adding /dev/disk2. Neither worked.
I really like ImgBurn and do not want to abandon it if possible. Thanks.
