Installing multiple wine version from Ubuntu Repository?
Probably I should ask this question to Ubuntu forums, but nevertheless...
Is possible to install multiple concurrent version of wine from the wine repositories? Reasons to prefer this to building from sources should be obvious, I suppose: easyness in regression testing, compatibility, installation/removing...
I've tried looking to the build scripts of deb files, on the eventual possibility

[Half-OT] PDA Clients and Rails
Hello!
I''d like to gather some points about running a rails application on a
PDA. As a condition I''d like to use Palm and Windows Mobile based PDA to
target a huge user audience (this could be become difficult I know,
only Windows Mobile for the start is although okay).
I googled the last weeks and found out that there were only a few web
browsers out there. E.g. Mozilla

Alternative to cPanel
Dear All,
Im looking for alternative for cPanel and somehow I read that the 'cwp
control web panel' (http://centos-webpanel.com) and Sentora (
http://www.sentora.ga) is the good alternative for cPanel.
Is there someone using this application and what can you tell about or
recommend.
Thank you all.

Any CMS for Ruby on Rails..
Well i want to make a photography community site on the lines of
www.gfxartist.com , www.terminus1525.ca, www.phirebrush.com
Where the community votes for every subbmission from a artist and can
comment (like a forum)..
Now gfxartist has used probably SMARTY,php, and their own CMS.
terminus used Drupal,Gallery 2.Some one tells me that this combo is
heavy on resources and slows down sites.

2GB USBkey and mkdiskimage
Hi,
I'm trying to make a USB-ZIP bootable filesystem on my USBkey, which is 2GB.
The problem is that "mkdiskimage -4 /dev/sda 0 64 32" fails due to the large
size. The number of sectors is 4005888/(64*32) = 1956, which is more than the
maximum 1024.
Is there any way around this or is it just not possible to make this USBkey
look like a Zip drive?
Regards,
Ole Jacob

Edit the file called src/EDITME and put the result in a file called
Local/Makefile.
Then you may proceed ... and next time ... you post an error message you
may want to be specific ... not "or something like that" ...

Standalone KVM boot from USB ?
Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a solution so I can boot a HyperVisor from USB which I
can manage through Foreman and also Manually if needed.
ESXi can do so, but I'm looking for an opensource solution.
KVM would be best but I wonder if there is a way to create some sort
of live environment where only KVM settings are written to the USB
disk and not that much logging and so on.
Has anyone an

kickstart %pre help on C5.4
Hey folks!
I'm doing some %pre work for the first time in a very long time, and
have been at this all day so far and still don't have anything sorted
out properly.
First I tried just doing some simple bash stuff like this
%pre
#!/bin/bash
# stuff
I reduced "stuff" down to basically a simple "select" statement to
echo and read input, just for the sake of debugging.

USB-HDD
Hi there,
I've read the instructions on using syslinux; in particular, I'm
interested in booting off a USB stick.
According to doc/usbkey.txt, USB-HDD is the best mode -- but there's no
mention of how to get that working.
I've tried googling it, but can't seem to find instructions (probably
not searching for the right thing)
Could someone here point me in the right

Well I did it...
I dont know if this will be of any interest to you guys.
I have a lexar 1GB flash drive.
I used the mkdiskimage script and then did
syslinux as described in the readme.usbkey.
(the script took a REALLY long time too)
I booted into 3.7 knoppix. Copied all the directories
onto the key. Then copied the contents of the /boot dir into
the root dir. I renamed isolinux.cfg to syslinux.cfg
I had
