RSPython can't find module
Hi Folks, After seeing some tips on the web, I managed to get RSPython-0.7-1 installed with R 2.9.0 (on Ubuntu 8.04). I had to get rid of the extra comma in the PythonPath function in Python.S: .PythonPath <- function(path=NULL, merge = TRUE) { dirSep <- ifelse(R.version$os == "Win32", ";", ":",) (remove last comma before bracket) and I had to manually

Viral activitiy coming from an IP in your network.
Hi, my name is Grant Taylor. I am a subscriber to the LARTC mail list lartc@mailman.ds9a.nl. The LARTC mail lists has been plagued with viral email coming from changing IPs in your one of your subnets. Based on the fact that the WhoIs information below says that the subnet in question is a dial up pool this would explain the changing IPs. In less than 6 days the list has received 14 viral

linear mixed effects models with breakpoints
Hi folks I have some data to which I've been fitting linear mixed effects models. I am currently using a lme model in the nlme package, with terms for random effects due to repeated measures on individuals and the corCAR1 serial correlation structure. However, there is some suggestion in the data (and from theory) that a breakpoint (change point) model may be more appropriate. Scott, Norman

Plots by subject
Thomas, Thank you for your reply about the for () loop. The as.character advice worked. Sorry for the delay in getting back to?I had to set the project aside for a few weeks. This didn?t work exactly as is for (patient in as.character(1:n)){ pt <- MRN == patient (rest of the function) } But this did for (patient in as.character(levels(MRN))){ pt <- MRN == patient (rest of the function)

gamm() and predict()
Dear All, I have a query relating to the use of the ?predict? and ?gamm? functions. I am dealing with large (approx. 5000) sets of presence/absence data, which I am trying to model as a function of different of environmental covariates. Ideally my models should include individual and colony as random factors. I have been trying to fit binomial models using the gamm function to achieve this. For
